Malty and pretty rich considering the lower abv. Smoke is subtle in the aroma and flavor, perhaps a tad too subtle for being called a rauch, but the beer aside from the smoke is up to the task." after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - APR 20, 2013
Draft at ncbc. Pours a cloudy dark brown with a loose stringy gray head. Little stringy lace. Very very mild nose of campfire, prunes, and jerky. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Prunes and campfire mid palate. Pretty reserved for a rauch. riversideAK (6260) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - APR 11, 2013
Toasted sweet brown bread w light salty smoke. Dark amber pour thin tan head. Flavors of sweet toasted brown bread notes w soft underneath smoke. Ligjt sweetness lingers. Maybe a little flabby carb wise. Meh. crackedmachine (481) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 18, 2013
Tap at Beveridge. Pours a dark brown with a medium tan head. Mild aroma is primarily malts with subtle smoke. Flavor follows, with a lightly sweet, semi-bland malt flavor made a bit more interesting by the subtle smoke. I appreciate that the smokiness is not overwhelming, but overall this is a bit lacking in flavor. beastiefan2k (3900) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - JAN 8, 2013
tap at Bottleworks. Enjoyed this with a sandwich from Salumi. A watery smoked beer, brown in color. Not much to say, fine, I am a sucker for smoked malt.

On tap at Cascade, pours a dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma of light smoke and grainy malt – not much else. Flavour of mild smoke, cereal / grainy malt and stale notes. Very boring, weak and uninspired. Nothing here.
