Cascade Apricot Ale is based on our Temptor Triple Ale that has undergone over 8 months of lactic fermentation and oak barrel aging. Ripe NW Apricots are fermented with this beer for 3 additional months. This hand packaged and bottle conditioned ale will only get better with age ... good luck waiting.

Tart somewhat brash, fruity but not pungent, little bit of woodiness, apricot is subtle, decently lively, sour tart, decently complex, slightly astringent, medium bodied, big white head, odd retention for a sour, somewhat hazy golden amber...

Johnsense (1688) - - AUG 17, 2017
Hazy yellow pour, smaller head that dissipates into a tiny ring, no lacing. Sour aroma, tart apricot, yellow plum, acidic. Sour up front, vinagerette giving way to underripe apricot, green peach, oak, light yeast. Lighter body.

2012 vintage shared by Ajen. A cloudy golden copper with a thick foamy head. The taste is light oak with a big tart apricot tangy aroma. Light bodied, massively acidic and fruity. Very good stuff, tart acidic and yet full of apricot stone fruitiness. It cut through the summer heat well.

From tap @ ADT. Pours hazy yellow with a slight white head. Sour fruity nose with funky wild yeast. Taste is refreshing tart stone fruit, oak and vanilla notes, with a wine-like quality adding some astringency. Finishes with a nice balance of sour and sweet. Relatively light for 8.5%. Note to self... visit Cascade someday. Delicious.

Sample from a bottle. A yellow coloured beer with a white head. Aroma and flavour of apricot, yeast, sourness and lemon.

stouby (4669) - Holbæk, DENMARK - JUN 17, 2017
Draught at MBCC, Apricot 14 (7,6%). Clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma medium sour and apricot. Flavor sour, tart, apricot, dry. Light body.

Rune (12947) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 5, 2017
Draught at MBCC, first, yellow, session. Spotty lacing from a low, white head. Warm golden body, close to clear. Restrained aroma of dried fruits. Apricot, green apples and minerals make up the flavour character. Lingering tartness to the ending. Okay cleanser. (Copenhagen 12.05.2017).

Mouth puckering sour. Pretty much just aroma and taste is sour in your face. Does apricot flavor matter at this point since minimal? wow lock jaw

EvanFriend (605) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2017
Very sour, more so than most sour beers Ive had. Apricot flavor is noticeable but relatively mild, which is a good thing, because Ive always considered an apricot a third-rate bad excuse for a peach. Would be better with peaches instead of apricots.

On tap at Hops & Pie. Hazy yellow appearance with a white head. Aroma of fresh/tart stone fruits, sour funk, wild yeast, light oak and a hint of vanilla. Similar flavor, fruity, sour, funky and mildly sweet. Medium to light body with a tart, puckering feel and an acidic finish. Nice.

KRS 311216. Golden-orange color with a white head. Aroma is fruit, lemon, apricot. Flavor is sourness, fruit, lemon, apricot, pine, peaches. Full body. Very nice beer.
