Cascade Apricot Ale is based on our Temptor Triple Ale that has undergone over 8 months of lactic fermentation and oak barrel aging. Ripe NW Apricots are fermented with this beer for 3 additional months. This hand packaged and bottle conditioned ale will only get better with age ... good luck waiting.

Serve at 45-50 Degrees F.

Cascade charges a lot for their beers. Despite this, I think they are the best brewery in Portland. This should say a lot for their beer. 8 ounce little glass from the brewery for six bucks, but I’d still say it’s a bargain. I’d rather have a tiny bit of this very beautifully crafted beer than a bunch of rounds of cheaper IPAs or stouts. The body is very well balanced and the smell is deliciously sour with a trickle of apricots to seal the deal. Great stuff.

At Ghent Beer Society's Beer Quiz; shared with Anke & Pieter!
Clear orange with a diminishing, off-white head. Aroma of orange, lemon & apricot, barnyard, vinegar, yeast, leather, cheese & cream, 'bacteria'. It tastes only light fruity sweet but overall heavy sour, lactic, fruity and lambic-like; the finish is long, tart and drying. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Reminded me so much of a traditional Lambic; all in all, something completely different and not an obvious drink.

From tap at Cirkus with RFK lønningspils 13.10.17. Hazy golden. White head and lacing. Acid aroma and even more acid raste, with some fruityness. Hints of sour wine gum and citric acid powder. Apricot is underwhelming. Very dry.

Hazy orange wiht a lasting, lacing, White head.
Wonderfull apricot and funk. Huge sourness. One of the most sour beers I have had. Quite some body on this one. This is great.

Great beer. Apricot comes through quite strongly, but not overly intense. Good body and clean. Cascade barrel house portland ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

75 cl. bottle, “Vill og syrlig ølfestival” (Wild and sour beerfestival) Oslo, 8. Sept. Hazy golden straw. Small white head. Vinous aroma of dried apricot, apricot skin and lemon.
Light body with tones of fresh apricots, peaches and hint of wood. Oily smooth mouthfeel that's work very well together with a very nice acidity. Warming alcohol. An excellent beer from a brewery that has become one of my favorite breweries.

Cloudy golden color. Sour aroma, some apricot, but also some acetic. Smooth mouthfeel, the acidity is aggressive, there is some apricot flavor, a bit vinous, tart lemon, and very astringent in the final.
Lack of depth and elegance, just an overpriced uber acidic beer.

Johnsense (1775) - - AUG 17, 2017
Hazy yellow pour, smaller head that dissipates into a tiny ring, no lacing. Sour aroma, tart apricot, yellow plum, acidic. Sour up front, vinagerette giving way to underripe apricot, green peach, oak, light yeast. Lighter body.

KansaiBeerLvrs (5391) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUL 31, 2017
2012 vintage shared by Ajen. A cloudy golden copper with a thick foamy head. The taste is light oak with a big tart apricot tangy aroma. Light bodied, massively acidic and fruity. Very good stuff, tart acidic and yet full of apricot stone fruitiness. It cut through the summer heat well.

Bacchus66 (967) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 29, 2017
From tap @ ADT. Pours hazy yellow with a slight white head. Sour fruity nose with funky wild yeast. Taste is refreshing tart stone fruit, oak and vanilla notes, with a wine-like quality adding some astringency. Finishes with a nice balance of sour and sweet. Relatively light for 8.5%. Note to self... visit Cascade someday. Delicious.

Sample from a bottle. A yellow coloured beer with a white head. Aroma and flavour of apricot, yeast, sourness and lemon.
