This NW style sour blond ale was barrel aged for 28 months before spending an additional two months on 300+ pounds of Black Cap raspberries: think Nouveau Boujoulais with blackberries. Vinous then sweet aromas of tart blackberries are the first to be noticed. Sharp, acidic notes of tart berries and leather on the palate lead to a sharp, dark berry presence and a finish with a prolonged dry fruit note. This limited draft-only offering is a blender favorite.

Red color with a fine pink head. Solid aroma. Lots of raspberries. Fine body and a fine carbonation level. Easy to drink. Rich sourness and acidity. Yet still quite balanced. If you do not like raspberry juice. Stay away from this one. Quite extreme oh yeah. But I like it. Also some vinegar and mild oak.

0.75l corked bottle shared with Inbreak @ Apollon. Looks like a thick slurpy warm raspberry juice almost. Thick on the pour, fat in the glass with a medium sized lacing purpleish head. Raspberry intense, sour and kinda oaky nose. Hints of both chocolate and red wine vinegar. Really American, intense and delicious nosed. Tastes really good also. Not as sharp or vinegary as I though, though it grows after a few sips. Thick and slurpy, delicious refreshing. Lots of raspberries, intense fruit sour with both red currants and rhubarb hints. Worth the price though? Perhaps not, but a really fun experience. 27.10.2017

Taste is dry sour-ish fruity, soda powder, citrus acid, sour raspberries, sour red currants, oak, mild vinegar, fruit salt, berry skin, raw rhubarb, sorrel. Medium bitterness, dry sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Very nice.

Dark purple color. The aroma is a bit vinous, with berries. Lean body, strong acidity, some raspberry juice, asteingent in the final.
Just a massively sour berry beer, no elegance or depth.

alexmate (295) - South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2017
Red wine coloured, quite fizzy. On the nose black raspberry with the sour creamy smell dominating. Taste wise there is raspberry to begin with, as well as jam, the aftertaste is incredibly sour it had me puckering up like a cat’s arse. A bit overcarbonated, but an interesting brew.

On Tap at BitterCreek Clear deep dark redish purple. Bright pink small head and lacing. Huge berry jam aromas and flavors. The moderate tartness is mixed with some mild earthy woody notes and a litel musty funk in teh tartness. Very good.

UPDATED: JUL 23, 2017 I love this beer. The color is so rich. So jammy good. I could put this on an English muffin.

Boutip (6567) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 5, 2017
Bottle: Poured a dark reddish color ale with a large pink foamy head with light retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of tart raspberry notes with light oak notes is quite pleasant. Taste is a refreshing mix of dominant raspberry notes with plenty of tart notes and light vinous/oak notes also noticeable. Very minimal amount of residual sugar is noticeable. Body is full with good carbonation. Well brewed with good level of complexity.
