COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This NW style sour blond ale was barrel aged for 28 months before spending an additional two months on 300+ pounds of Black Cap raspberries: think Nouveau Boujoulais with blackberries. Vinous then sweet aromas of tart blackberries are the first to be noticed. Sharp, acidic notes of tart berries and leather on the palate lead to a sharp, dark berry presence and a finish with a prolonged dry fruit note. This limited draft-only offering is a blender favorite.

Bottle from Browarium. Aroma: Raspberry syrup, brett, light vanilla. Appearance: Dark ruby body, low head. Taste: Very very tart, dry very sour, lots of raspberries, raspberry pips. Palate: Very tart finish, medium body, low carbonation. Sorry, raspberry beers always will be given a head start by me.

Bottle from LCBO. Pours ruby with quickly dissipating head and no lacing. Nose is tart raspberry. Flavour of very tart raspberry, red wine tannin, acidic. Taste big/med tart, light/medium sweet. Medium sticky body with lively carbonation and a long acidic finish. Well done!

beerplace (1603) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 8, 2017
On tap at St. Augustine during 1500 menu event with Alex. Pours a dark red with a rose head. Aroma is tons of raspeberry jam notes, amazing! Taste is sour with fermented raspberries notes and some fermented veggies, not even close to the aroma. Sour fermented raspberries aftertaste. Strange beer with excellent aroma and mediocre taste.

Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - MAY 24, 2017
Bottle share with Henry. Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a crisp semi-dark purple hue with a thin white cap softly dissipating to leave barely any lace. The aroma had the tart to sweet blackberries up front, light lemon pulp and rind sweet and bitter tones, and some easy going sour acidity levels coming around to lighten the overall nose. The flavor brought the tart to the sour to the sweet melding with the acidity and bringing in a little bit of woody sweet displacement. Acidic sour to tart blackberry sort of aftertaste flowing into the finish. The palate was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it as the acidity did start to get fairly heavy. Wasn’t too bothersome as the carbonation came to displace some of the tartness. ABV felt as projected. Overall, pretty nice blackberry sour ale that I lucked out on to get to try. But the prices of Cascade seem to keep me away from more purchases.

W aromacie średnio intensywne bliżej nieokreślone czerwone owoce, nuty dzikie w tle. Wyraźna kwaśność w smaku, czerwone owoce, z posmakiem suszonych ziół. Finisz nieco cierpki.

6floz draft taster appears a burgundy-brown with a pink head. Raspberry nose is mostly sour, but there is some sweetness too. This beer is all about the sour, perhaps a bit lactic, green stems, and of course raspberry fruit. Medium-full bodied and sparkling, it goes down alright.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2017 Bouteille.

Pours dark red (blackberry juice) with no head. Smell of dark berries. The taste is tart with a subtle sweetness to it, blackberries, raspberries and oak. No hops. Overall a great juicy sour.

No head, deep cardinal-red beer. Cherries, soaked and aged wood, alcohol. Sour cherries, (yes, rather than blackberry), cherrycake, quite tart. Acidthinning and -burn. Typical Cascade overly sour , but nice despite itself.

Nice subtle raspberries, juicy dark berries, fresh leaves, some citrus. Intense sourness with hints of sweetness. Very nice
