Bottle shared by a friend. Hazy purple pour with a medium pink head. Aroma of sweet blackberry, malt and sour vinegar. Sour berry flavor with a bit of sweet maltiness before a sour finish.

Sample at Decatur Beer Fest, yes I tried to hit the expensive bottles. What you have come to expect from Cascade. Good tart sour with a decent bit of body and a light oakiness. The fruit comes through big though and is decently sweet.

Sample from bottle at Aces and Ales South Nellis. Pours a slightly hazy reddish-purple color with a medium white head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart berries, yeast and malt. Medium body with flavors of tart blackberry, herbal yeast, oak and doughy malt. The finish is moderately tart with a lingering blackberry aftertaste. Solid beer all around.

Great blackberry arms. Very tart and very acidic. Grea none the less as blackberries helped balance out sharp tartness.

2014 bottle. Purple/ruby, pink head. Nose is lactic blueberry, blackberry, some wood, light floral, light fishy, smarties. Flavor is blueberry/raspberry, lactic smarties, some woody tannins. Finish rounds out a bit but ends up a bit flabby / too wide.

Bright red with a pink head. Aroma of blackberries, blackcurrants, raspberry and more fruit, light yogurt. Taste is filled with blackberry, with a hint of caramel in the background. Very fruit forward and tasty, but not very complex, and way too pricy.

Bottle. Puckering tart unripe fruit mixes with yogurt to form an orgasm of blackberry pure in your mouth. Seedy. Shady. Deceitful. Delectable.

750ml corked bottle pours a bright red color with a fizzy quick dissipating pink head that leaves only a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is blackberries with some lemon and light woody, earthy tones. Taste is a bold blackberry and lemon tartness with a light malty sweetness and a dry finish. Medium bodied with abundant carbonation that tickles the tongue. Considering the price, this is not an outstanding ale, but still quite an enjoyable brew.

Strong blackberry and lactic sour aroma. Taste is lactic sour maybe 5 of 10. Not the most sour cascade but still very sour. Blackberry, dark fruit, woody, not too sweet with a tannic dry bitter blackberry finish. Complex and really an awesome sour. Love the use of blackberry. Lots of flavor. Thought the body was a little lighter than some and I see it is a blend of wheat ales. Still a ton of flavor and amazingly complex. Love it ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
