Legend has it that our blonde style beer was originally inspired by a local fair haired barmaid. Refreshing, zesty, and sassy in style it's easy to make the comparison. Coincidence or inspiration? Your call.
Brewed with a blend of barley and wheat malts, Blonde is then hopped to give a light bitterness and citrus note. This clean, easy drinking blend is an ideal refreshing beer for a summer's afternoon, with whoever you fancy!
Food Matches: Works well with seafood, summer salads and tropical fruits.

Is it a successful marketing strategy to move away from beer labels that provoke a sense of historical esteem to those that are cartoony and "youthfully humourous"? I don’t know and I don’t care. It’s what’s inside that counts. And inside this blokey bottle is pure averageness. I certainly didn’t taste ANY of the qualities listed by the previous rater (and believe me, I tried!). Instead I found a pale lager that was light in colour and just as light in flavour. Aside from a faintly wheaty palate with a very light hop presence, this beer has nowhere near the personality of its label (by some peoples’ stadards, that may actually be a good thing). An average easy-drinking summertime beer.

Bottled 375 ml at a restaurant/pub in Apollo Bay along the Great Ocean Road, Australia, on August 2, 2013.

Hazy honey color, white head. Sweet, malty scent. Malty, bread taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium low bitterness. Grainy aftertaste.

bottled. yellow, predictable, no hop presence, faint honeyed hay aroma, some cardboard and lemonade

330ml bottle. Thina nd watery looking with a terrible aroma. Amber colour with a thin simple white head. Aroma of straw with a faint hint of citrus. Clean and crisp in the mouth with an easy drinkability to it.

Bottle. Pale gold with a white head that doesn’t hang around. Aroma is lemony and a bit grainy with obvious wheat. Light bodied. Crackery with little bitterness but a whack of lemon and a dryish finish. A wheat lager, eh? An OK dust cutter for a warm evening.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pretty bland and easy going beer. Not really bad in any way. I found it had mixed notes of wheat and lager yeast. Was a little bit of an in-between beer. Solid quaffer

Davros (3183) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 16, 2011
Pours amber with a large, fading head. Uber-skunky aroma, but also some honey, wheat, citrus and coriander. Flavours also show a fair whack of citrus and coriander, other just a lot of sweet malt and very soft doughy wheat. Could really use some bitterness! Very watery body.

Well I was not expecting a lot and so I was not disappointed! I wasn’t excited either! Clear pale golden straw body with a good lasting solid white head. Light hops on the nose. Thin taste, some citrus notes and not a lot of anything else.

ALLOVATE (3015) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - DEC 21, 2005
A little chauvinistic of the Cascade lads to think that a beer with the characteristics of an all round crowd-pleaser to the fairer sex should be named in honour of what most men think of each time they down a few of these. My wife loved this one, stating "Mmm, that’s a girls drink"; after just one sip. Pretty much summed it up really! So if any of that made sense I shall now rate it. Poured into a weissbier glass; clear, yellowish gold body, well charged. Typically Aussie pale lager looking with a huge, albeit certainly artificial, fluffy white crown that left rings down the glass. Fairly light on in the nose. Watermelon and fruit rinds, maybe a little honey. Not at all exciting in the mouth with watered down lemon cordial, passion-fruit and table sugar (Traditional lemonade!?!) making up the thinly soapy palate. Light in body and reasonably soft in carbonation; a slight ’zing’ comes in down the side of the tongue and the finish is dominated by a flavour like ’Passiona’ soft drink. Nothing offensive in this one, it really wasn’t beer in my own opinion, but hey if the chicks dig it..... (375mL, 23/05/06)
