COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This NW style sour ale blends wheat & blond ales that were oak aged in barrels for 6 mths, then additionally aged 4 mths on fresh blueberries. Huge herbal notes of dense blueberries in the nose give way to hints of oak & a dusty floral note. Rich earthy notes of dark fruit on the palate lead to a tart finish that dries out to a base note of blueberry skins.

750mL corked & caged bottle courtesy of agl108. 2015 Project. Mine says 8.23% ABV. A slightly hazy ruby pour with a thin and fizzy quartz head. The extremely tart aroma features vinegar, blueberries, lemons, wheaty grains, oak, and funky cheese. Goes down medium-bodied. Crisp wheaty grains start things off taste-wise. An oaky woodsiness and cheesy funkiness follow. Tart blueberries and sour lemons finish things off. The slightest touch of warming alcohol at the very end. Quite dry. Vinegar qualities dominate throughout. Outstanding!

Linnet (1832) - Karlstad, SWEDEN - DEC 27, 2016
Tart, earthy, immensely rich blueberries, rich oakiness, subtle hints of vanilla, alcohol, that is well integrated. Ruby/lilac colour, no head. Big tartness, rich notes of blueberry, earthy, lightly bitter, mid-sweet, but rather dry considering ABV, oaky, Woody notes, almost dusty in the end. Medium body, thin feel, small lively bubbles, tart and fruity, slightly warming finish. This was a good one!
