COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This NW style sour ale blends wheat & blond ales that were oak aged in barrels for 6 mths, then additionally aged 4 mths on fresh blueberries. Huge herbal notes of dense blueberries in the nose give way to hints of oak & a dusty floral note. Rich earthy notes of dark fruit on the palate lead to a tart finish that dries out to a base note of blueberry skins.

Bottle shared with some dads. Pours a purple pink body with nice lacing. Aroma is tart blueberry. Mouthfeel is medium and tart with light funk, lots of blueberries and some tart candy in the background. Pretty straight forward blueberry sour ale.

750ml bottle pours a hazy purple with some cloudy pink head. Nose is straight blueberry pie, juicy, not too much else, some juicy red wine maybe. Flavor is sweet and tart, berry, some pie, juicy. Medium bodied and lightly tart.

750, corked and baled. Thanks, J&A! Pours a dark rubied amber with a dense and fizzy pink head that falls quickly away. Funky barnyard on the nose with a tinge of tart berry. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Oak and balsamic on the mid-palate with a dry, oaky, slightly minerally finish. Pretty good.

Poured from bottle, a slight pink/purple color with a white head. Aroma was slightly tart blueberries, with a dominant blueberry presence in it. A touch of oak I suppose, with a tartness to it.

I had the chance to try this one a lot of times while at Dark Lord Day (the day before and during), and just couldnt get myself into it as much as my compatriots. Its well made for sure, but I just personally didnt dig it as much as the people shoving it my way did. Keeping my eyes open for their beer in the future though!

Bottle. Pours cloudy reddish blue with a medium punk fizzy head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is tart, funk, lemon, fruit. Flavor is the same, light tart, little sweetness, blueberry coming through on the dry finish. Medium body, very carbonated, aerated mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle sampled at Muckfest III. Pours a clear reddish purple color with a thin head. Aroma of blueberries, malt and tartness. Malty flavor turning to blueberry pie before a tart finish. Very nice.

Bottle, as a road beer at THE Stout Tasting. Cheers to Bruce for sourcing this! The pours deep, murky purple with a modest reddish head. The nose is earthy blueberry patch, sweet baked blueberry cake, a bit of woodland funk. The taste is mild lactic funk, plenty of blueberry jam and sweet cake. A bit of general herb. Smooth, lightly tart finish. Nice, bouncy, lively body. Easy to drink. Overall, a nice beer. Its quite simple, but tasty.

From the April 2013 3R6P beer tasting. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml corked brown bottle this beer poured a very dark plum-blood red color with a medium sized foamy pink head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was funky, tart, sour, vague berries, pepper and Sweettart candies. the flavor was dry, tart and sour with funk, chalk and strong tart berries. Very long dry, tart and sour berry and funk finish. Medium body. Interesting.
