Poured from bottle, a slight pink/purple color with a white head. Aroma was slightly tart blueberries, with a dominant blueberry presence in it. A touch of oak I suppose, with a tartness to it.jackl (8286) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 11, 2013
I had the chance to try this one a lot of times while at Dark Lord Day (the day before and during), and just couldn’t get myself into it as much as my compatriots. It’s well made for sure, but I just personally didn’t dig it as much as the people shoving it my way did. Keeping my eyes open for their beer in the future though!
Bottle, as a road beer at THE Stout Tasting. Cheers to Bruce for sourcing this! The pour’s deep, murky purple with a modest reddish head. The nose is earthy blueberry patch, sweet baked blueberry cake, a bit of woodland funk. The taste is mild lactic funk, plenty of blueberry jam and sweet cake. A bit of general herb. Smooth, lightly tart finish. Nice, bouncy, lively body. Easy to drink. Overall, a nice beer. It’s quite simple, but tasty. Hermod (8193) - Vantaa, FINLAND - JUL 7, 2017
UPDATED: JUL 7, 2017 Draught @ Sori Taproom. 8,23%. Poured cherry red with a tiny white head. Aroma has blueberries, tartness, mild wood and dried fruits. Flavor has blueberries, tartness, funk, wood, all really balanced. Long tart finish with hint of almond as well. JaBier (8156) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JUL 29, 2012
Bottle sampled at Muckfest III. Pours a clear reddish purple color with a thin head. Aroma of blueberries, malt and tartness. Malty flavor turning to blueberry pie before a tart finish. Very nice. FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 5, 2013
From the April 2013 3R6P beer tasting. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml corked brown bottle this beer poured a very dark plum-blood red color with a medium sized foamy pink head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was funky, tart, sour, vague berries, pepper and Sweettart candies. the flavor was dry, tart and sour with funk, chalk and strong tart berries. Very long dry, tart and sour berry and funk finish. Medium body. Interesting.

750, corked and baled. Thanks, J&A! Pours a dark rubied amber with a dense and fizzy pink head that falls quickly away. Funky barnyard on the nose with a tinge of tart berry. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Oak and balsamic on the mid-palate with a dry, oaky, slightly minerally finish. Pretty good. BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JAN 1, 2013

Appearance: Clear ruby with a medium sized white/pink head and light lacing
Aroma: Tart fruit, sugar and acidic
Taste: Sour fruit, plastic, dusty and acidic
Bottle split with Tom and Jessie. Pours a purple haze with thin white head. Aromas and taste are very perfumey, and dark grape forward. Lots of barrel yeast with a really sour finish. As it warmed I got more tart blueberry, raspberry, and other sugary fruitts. Pretty tasty.
