Draft at the brewery. Honey color. Light head and carbonation. Medium sweetness. Definitely has mellow notes of honey with some citrus lime. Not a
Big sour fan but this is pretty good.

A- pours an almost clear straw yellow with a light white head and some minor lacing. S- obvious notes of honey, ginger and lime. Canada Dry ale, salt, soap, dirt, rose petals, cinnamon and molasses (basically Ginger Snaps). Fairly straight forward but enjoyable. M- light tacky body with a light sweet and acidic palate with a mild burn and good carbonation. T- soda water, Sprite, lemon and line up front. Tea, honey and ginger in the middle. More lemon and rose petals on the clean end. Some lingering honey and sugars. Again, fairly simple but good. MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 27, 2014
translucent amber, thin white collar. Nose is Thai takeout, massively synthetic lime and ginger bordering msg. Front is huge lime juice, thick and coating, ginger lasting through mid, no detectable grain, soda like through the fizzy over carbonated finish. This is pop, Smirnoff level synthetic sweetness. UPDATED: JUN 29, 2013 Draft at stone sour fest 2013. Pours a slightly hazy yellow, with off white head. Lots of ginger, lime juice, lemon zest, honey sweetness, bourbon notes, sourness, and light oak. Maybe too much ginger, but this would be great with sushi. brokensail (16609) - Dublin, California, USA - JUN 26, 2013
Stone Sour Fest 2013. Yellow/orange pour with a small white head. Really prevalent ginger aroma. Some sweet citrus, lime zest, and lemon. Mild bourbon and oak. Really heavy ginger flavor and quite a bit of lime, too. Nice lactic sourness, hints of oak, grass, and subtle bourbon.

From the Wooden barrel at Cascade barrel house, PDX, 22/05/13.
Lightly hazed pale blonde with a thin white head.
Nose delivers a big sweet ginger hit, this is backed up with far more subtle doses of lime, wooden notes, light must and cobwebs. The power of the ginger tends to dominate and wipe out most of the flavours one would normally expect from a sour.
Taste is not so OTT ginger but this still carries a good presence, lime, sugars, perfumed tone, light funk, damp wood, tarte citrus fruit, light ginger driven spice, trace of the bourbon barell ageing but very subtle.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry and sour finish.
Ok sour but balance not spot on for me - needs less ginger and a touch more sourness/funk.
