A: Poured a deep reddish brown color with great carbonation leaving a big frothy dirty white cap. The lacing was substantial even after I killed it the bubbles and suds settled at the bottom. Sexy!
S: Bourbon, a light blended cocoa roasted notes and light coffee with a stining tartness on the nostrils, vanilla, grapes and some cherry hints. A lot going on here.
T: Some light roastiness, cocoa and hints of coffee w/ a lighter red wine/port wine feel and texture, spices, cinnamon, hints at vanilla, wood and plenty of bourbon, did I mention some cherries, ripe and unripened grapes, perhaps vinegar. The booze was def noticable from beginning to end. I did not get the brown sugar but received some molasses kicks. So much going on. My only issue with this materpiece is a little more Vanilla
M: Nice feel and well carbonated. Big tartness, loads of flavor on the palate
O: Wowza. Extremely tasty but I had 2 of these and wanted mo, mo, mo but couldnt.

Sampled on tap at Cascade Brewpub, pours a dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma of port wine, red wine, vanilla, chocolate and some dark fruits - awesome complexity on the nose. Flavour is remarkably complex - red wine, port, red berries, sour notes, vanilla, chocolate and bourbon - ABV burn at the end but well-concealed. Most excellent sour. sherm1016 (1274) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 4, 2012
8oz pour at the Cascade Barrel House. Pours a dark Brown color with a light tan head. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate, a little sour. A little heavy on the palate with Light carbonation. Flavor is sweet, vanilla, chocolate, with a nice tart finish. Very tasty.
