2011 bottle. Nose of bourbon, chocolate, cherry, vinegar, dark fruits. Lactose flavor, chocolate, vanilla, yogurt, cherry, caramel, apples, vinegar, bourbon. ALso get raisins and something like Umeshu (plum liqueur). Very well ages, with much less of the shocking sourness in a fresh Cascade beer.

My Bottom Line:luttonm (6274) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 13, 2016
Black grapes, bourbon vanilla and a splash of cherry juice coalesce in this beautiful sour beer.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the purplish mahogany.
-Both aroma and flavor profile are tight.
-Spicy phenolics are present throughout as well.
-Sourness is high, but the suave mouthfeel and flavor arrangement make it all work.
-This is 12%?!? Didn’t notice its strength at all! Would have said 8-9% tops.
-This is so beyond De Garde sour beers quality-wise, it’s hard to understand the similar ratings.
Cascade Barrel House, Portland. Dark, opaque brown, super creamy lacto-porter, acidic, tart, big sour. Good vanilla-oak over top. Heavy, lactic, huge tart. Enamel cleaner. Big, tasty. Odd. Crazy. tiong (7278) - Espoo, FINLAND - MAY 25, 2016
Draught @ Cascade Barrel House, Portland, OR. Pours pitch black with a small bubbly head. Aroma of spices, bourbon, oak, wood, cinnamon, vanilla, dates and mild ripe fruitiness. Taste is slightly tart and sourish with some ripe fruits, figs, dates, bourbon, wood, oak, vanilla and loads of spices. Finish is sweet, sticky and slightly sour with some oak, wood, spices, bourbon and ripe fruits. Quite interesting, but a bit messy. ippopotamo36 (2383) - Rome, ITALY - MAY 10, 2016

Bottle at home. Pours dark brown with a reddish hue. Low head. Intense nose with an intriguing mix of forest fruits, burnt caramel, oak, raisins and bourbon alcohol. Full sour sweet body and alcohol heat, some spice in the end.drinks dangerously easy.
