Leighton (22310) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 30, 2014
Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Colin. Pours deep brown with a frothy tan head. Big acetic berry nose, moderate funk, vinegar. Big sweet flavor but also quite tangy, with lots of sugary dark fruits, plum, blueberry. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with lots of gooey fruits, some acetic burn, ripe berry sugars. A bit heavy handed overall, though still pretty tasty.

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Hazy dark reddish brown with a lasting light brown head. Aroma is sweet, malty, dark fruit, sour fruit, berries, wood, tart and notes of bourbon. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate acidic. Dry and moderate acidic finish with some alcohol. Very complex, but also a bit all over the place. 040213

Koelschtrinker (21492) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - SEP 23, 2016
Wenig karbonisierter, dunkel malzig säuerlicher Antrunk. Dabei aber auch karamellig süß ähnlich einem flämischen Red. Vollmundig, im Hintergrund wächst die Säure an und wird scharf. Interessant. 9/10/11/11//12

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Dark color, near black. Aroma of alcohol, traces of acetic acid or acetone, dark fruits. Full bodied, the elements come together in the taste, chocolate malt with dark fruits, balsamic vinegar, wood astringency, and bourbon oak.
Wonderful.

Theydon_Bois (20636) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 15, 2014
Bottle shared at CBC Clerko, from an IP trade, 30/09/14. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent tan swirl and edgeing. Nose is roasty, dark fruit rinds, fruit balsams, chestnut, dates, spice. Taste comprises earthy notes, berry fruit balsams, oaky wood must, strong alcohol wash, vinegar notes. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid enough for the ABV if a little hot.

saxo (19522) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - FEB 4, 2013
Bottle. Nice creamy head with excellent duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are rich brett, wood, bourbon, fruits, malt and notes of hops. Nice and sour. Well balanced.

mcberko (18979) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 15, 2012
750mL bottle, courtesy of bvc (thanks Brandon), pours a deep murky dark amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma is very complex, full of oak barrels, dark fruits, maybe some bourbon barrels, no hint of the spices – very deep and complex, characterized by red wine oak barrel complexity. Flavour is remarkably complex, with dates on top, loads of woody oak barrels, mildly tart fruits, a slight hint of bourbon, and loads of other dark fruits. The tartness is not overbearing, but perfectly accented, with both the wine and bourbon barrels well situated amongst the many flavours. Lively carbonation, which brings out all the complexities perfectly. Extremely complex and delicious stuff – a highly complex sour.

Dark brown. Thin head. Sweet, bourbon, dates, very complex aroma. Soft, sweet, touch of acidity in the finish. Grapey, bourbon on the palate. Masks abv well. Delicious.
