Draft at Barrel House. Pink hued amber body, small ring of head. Aroma points to the Brett, but the cherries are detectable in there as well. Taste is initially tart , and again the cherries are easily detectable and stand out. Very nice flavors, mildly sweet, but dry tartness finishes it. Amazing how pronounced the cherries are.

Draft on tap at the Cascade Barrelhouse (Portland, OR). Pours a deep glowing ing reddish berry soaked hue. A decent haziness, dulled winter glow into the middle with a touch more fiery cranberry pink color glowing nicely onto the edges. Firmer frothy offwhite pinkish head is full and retains well. A thicker ringer, full film and good lacing. Aromas are a bit fruity and dry, spicy Belgian yeast remnants, earth and yogurt meet cherryskin, a bit of fruity appeal, fuzziness, middling lactic growth as it warms. Initial is medium bodied, some cidery apple sourness, cherries, oak, spicy yeast and pie sweetness. A touch crusty, vanilla and earth meet gentle lingering Bourbon presence. The faded nose moves into a beer that grows in flavor and complexity off the bat. Apple cidery, some fruity jabs and a middling lactic fuzzy cidery twang that attempts to stand up to the more potent base, sweeter fruit and potent barrel flavors. A bit barrel driven, spicy and cherry elements coming into the backend and finish. Tart, a bit tannic, I think the cherries actually improve this one giving it a bit more sour life in the end. Finish is dry, a bit spicy, mellow tannic and subtle bourbon warmth linger on with cidery lactic appeal, tartness, mellow cherry elements. Nice stuff albeit a bit big overall. Impressive pour, more deadened nose with a palate fele that develops further in but truly works pretty well.

Tap at the barrel house. Gorgeous hazy reddish pink pour with a pinkish head. Cherry pie filling aroma with some wood and very mild bourbon. Hint of graham cracker too. Very soft and somewhat sweet on the tongue. Great beer.

Taster at the brewery. Deep strawberry cream color with a pinkish head. Tart cherry with some oak, Belgian yeast and dark fruits. No sense at all of the ABV.

On tap at the brewery out of live barrel. Pours a hazy ruby with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong cherry skin and oak. Thin mouth with tart cherry, light funk, oak, very nice.

Draft pour, live from the barrel at the Cascade Barrel House. From yesterdays notes. Pours a cranberry nice red color with a beautiful, swirling dark color presentation. Sweet, doughy cherry pie aroma and flavor. Such smooth sweet fruit flavor throughout. Not picking up much of the anticipated spice. Mixed berry late in the palate. Not really that sour compared to others, but damn tasty. Very well done.

Cask - Sweet, light whisky and phenols. Cloudy reddish with a decent off white head. Maraschino cherry, balsamic, some wood and a light tartness. Subtle and nice

On tap at Fredfest 2014. Pours blood red with a pretty pink head and a magnificent cherry aroma. There is a delicious tart cherry flavor with a dry finish.

On tap at Cascade, pours an opaque dark mahogany / burgundy with a tiny head. Aroma is complex, full of various soured dark fruits, unsurprisingly with the cherries upfront, oak and vanilla. Flavour brings out a very complex array of flavours, full of vanilla, oak, and tart dark fruits with the cherry upfront. Not as good as the original, as there are some paint thinner like qualities buried in there. Nevertheless, a great rendition of Vlad.
