COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This NW style sour ale is a strong blond ale aged in chardonnay barrels for up to 12 months, then aged with dried white figs and lemon peel or up to 12 more months. Aromas of sweet figs, golden raisins, and citrus zest are the first to be noticed. Hints of white wine grapes, lemon peel, and sweet figs roll across the palate, leading to a crisp lemon tartness in the finish that leaves a lingering sweetness on the tongue.

mansquito (6695) - Nueva York, New York, USA - AUG 31, 2017
At the source: pours orange with white head. Aroma is hefty sugar, funk and dark fruits. Sour but in a mellow and subdued way. Not a very sour finish, so the aftertaste is not really what you would expect. Nice.

NikkTwist (3284) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 28, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2017 Draft at Bru Craft. Very hazy amber pour. Bracing tartness. Oak aged sour fruit. Fig is always a subtle flavor and, though present, is overcome by the process. Still, no other particular fruit note dominates. Chardonnay grape floral notes. A huge complex sour. Feels like the mustier oak notes are brightened by lemon zest. An impressive concoction, that prevails without a key flavor.

Oakes (18198) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 26, 2017
Amber, touch of haze. Barrelly nose, tart. Bracing tartness, very good, all kind of wood character. Gentle fruitiness and no overt fig.
