"Well, that’s a unique take on sprucing up a porter, and it Italy works. Chocolate roast and coffee nose, super smooth light medium body, flavor shows a little fig and only hints of sweetness from the rum." riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - FEB 27, 2013
Chocolate and toasted brown bread on the nose some light sugary sweetness. Pours brown thin head no lace. Nice sweet chocolate notes light toasted brown bread soft darker grains. Pleasantly sweet but.toasty at the same time. Nice carb. Good beer. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 17, 2013
(Growler thanks to Nellie) clear medium dark brown, creamy offwhite head, a bit fizzy on the carbonation. Nose of rich cream, raisin, hazelnuts, nut shells, and malt balls. Taste is sweet, nutty, lightly roasty, creamy, taste isn’t super complex but very good and unique. Fizzy carbonation. Nice porter! after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - FEB 8, 2013
Draft at sb. Pours black with a dense and creamy dark tan mousse that lasts and lasts. Rich roasty dark chocolate nose with soft fig notes in the background. Creamy medium body, could use a little carb. Chocolate, roast, figs, and soft molasses notes on the mid palate. Long roasty finish. Great beer.
