2011 vintage consumed on 11/22/13. From the second the bottle opens a wonderful aroma of sour cherries greets the nose. Color is a brightish red. The flavor is an incredibly bright sour with the cherries coming through magnificently without any of the Brett notes than can sometimes overwealm a lesser sour. As perfect an example of a Kriek that there is.

On tap at Hops & Pie. Clear, deep ruby reddish appearance with a white head. Aroma of sour cherries, funky yeast, vanilla and lightly toasted oak. Similar flavor, tart, sour and fruity with a lingering cherry note. Medium to light body with a puckering feel and a light earthy finish. Nice.

BillKismet (4041) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 29, 2017
Cherry-amber body, with ring of head, but otherwise flat. Lovely cherry-Flanders nose, with wonderfully aged layers of wood and malting, and tartness, with just a spice of vinegar. The body also delivers layers of complexity. Aged malts and woodiness, tinged with restrained vinegar and cherry. Prickly aged cherry vinegar at back of palate. Outstanding.
