IBU 35. Tasted in a frozen mug. As much copper in color as brown. Aroma is very mellow if not faint. No head to speak of. Light nutty flavor that fades into a pretty decent aftertaste. Not as smooth as, say, Newcastle Brown, but not very hoppy either. All in all, a satisfying brown ale.

Aroma is nice and rich. Color seems spot on, taste is good but nothing out of the ordinary. Middle of the road brown ale.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle, thanks to Craig. Very light color with a thin head. Flavor of coffee and roasted malts. Very thin, watery beer. douglas88 (9795) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 10, 2012

On tap at Famous Dave's. Nice and cold on a warm Portland day. Pours rich amber brown with small head. Malty and sweet, with a tiny amount of bitterness on the back end.

12oz bottle. Rating #40. Clear, dark brown pour with a light beige head. Light sweetness, mild toasted aroma. Flavor has a bit more to it than the aroma, nutty with a bigger toasted presence and a bit of caramel in the finish, pretty tasty stuff. 355ml bottle pours brown in color with a 2 finger off-white head that settles down to produce some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel and light roasted malts with a hint of chocolate. Taste is light roasted malt bitterness with some caramel sweetness followed up with a mild hoppy bitter finish. Medium body with light carbonation. One of the better brown ales I have tasted over the years.
