This is one fine tasting beer. As a Brown Ale, it actually tastes like brown, sweet, delicious, brown. Zymurgeist2 (2213) - Redwood City, California, USA - AUG 12, 2011
Aroma of nutty malt sweetness. Clear chestnut brown with very little head. Slightly medium-thin mouthfeel. Malty with a little medicine. Chewy for the thin mouthfeel. Not bad. scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - NOV 4, 2010
Sugary cereal aroma. Can’t get enough of that golden crisp! That and Postum. Clean hazelnut brown. Sweet and clean, more cereal, tasty beer. SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - AUG 10, 2010
Draught at the brewhouse in Redmond. Clear brown with a creamy head. Light toasty malt in the aroma but not much. This flavor with just a touch of toasty malt and some alcohol spice. This body. Bland overall. This needs more body and malt character. 19Ei8hty (1166) - Washington, USA - AUG 9, 2009
Roasted malt backbone, nut and subtle wood accents. Sweet caramel note sewn in to a smooth, creamy silk body.

12 oz bottle shared with my buddy Nick. Light brown pour with a small tan head. Aroma is caramel malt with some slight roast and chocolate. Flavor pretty much identical, the caramel malt being the most prominent feature. Slightly dry finish. IrishBoy (4185) - Bakersfield, California, USA - APR 13, 2009
Sample taster at John’s Market Place. Nose of roastiness, caramel, and a cocoa hint. Clear brown with a medium beige head. Flavor was caramel maltiness with only a hint of bitterness. anders37 (26251) - Malmö, SWEDEN - DEC 24, 2008
Draft @ 7th St Brewhouse, Redmond, OR. Pours a clear pale brown color with a longlasting creamy off-white head. Has a slightly sweetish malty caramel and chocolate aroma. Roasted malty caramel flavor with some hints of chocolate. Has a roasted malty caramel finish. bhensonb (15096) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 16, 2008
Bottle from Sondra. Amber color with a decent off-white head. Rich, lightly roasted, malt aroma. Medium in body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is roasty malty sweet, with a little accompanying bitter. The finish is sort of creamy sweet with a little backing bitter. Very pleasant and quaffable brown ale. Might be a good session ale. carboloader (674) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 4, 2008
Visited the brew pub in Bend, OR. Pours reddish brown with small white head. Slight malt, some sweetness, but otherwise seems bland and thin to me.
