Bottle pours a brownish rust color, small off-white dishwater like head, very light carbonation, with decent lacing.   Malty/Nutty aroma.   WOW!   Flavor is all about the malts.   This one is smooth, a lot like an english style Brown Ale.   Slightly roasty, but all malt.   This is very nice... mad props to the fellas over at Cascade Lakes for doing a wonderful Brown Ale.   Body and mouthfeel are up to par, at least my par.   I will sum this one up as being smooth. reebtogi (6267) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 21, 2012
355ml bottle pours brown in color with a 2 finger off-white head that settles down to produce some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel and light roasted malts with a hint of chocolate. Taste is light roasted malt bitterness with some caramel sweetness followed up with a mild hoppy bitter finish. Medium body with light carbonation. One of the better brown ales I have tasted over the years. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - MAR 9, 2005
Sampled draught at Cascade Lakes Lodge, Bendbeerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - AUG 1, 2003
Mahogany color with a well built head. Nose of light roast, heavy caramel & a well balanced hop nose. The flavor has a nice hop hit along with the sweet malts. Well balanced brown. Fair.
Medium brown color. Small head. Aroma is nutty and fruity. A medium bodied brown ale. Malts are nutty and caramel, with a slight hint of chocolate. Hops are spicy and a touch floral. A touch harsh and a little too crisp for a brown ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - NOV 13, 2006
[Draft - Bend Oregon] Nice brown color with a decent head. Had a deep nutty nose and a great falvor this was a great beer. Liked the different flavors from both the hops and the malts used. Good overall taste.

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2008 Cool label on this 12 oz bottle that poured a nice dark brown with off-white head. Nose of dark malts and nuts. Rich mouthfeel, and flavors of caramel and roast nuts. Nice brown and easy drinking. kidmartinek (4999) - austin, Texas, USA - NOV 11, 2013
Clear amber with a white head that laces heavily. Faint aroma. Brown malty flavor. Strong.taste with a light body. A little nutty and a great refreshment after traveling 8 hrs to Redmond. chinchill (4993) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 9, 2016
On tap at the brewpub.
Look: deep dark amber body with a very good, off-white head; excellent lacing.
Pleasing aroma features sweet malts and spicy hops in about equal measure.
Flavor: follows the nose.
Medium body and carbonation. IndianaRed (4617) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 31, 2005
On Tap at Cascade Lakes Lodge Clear light brown rather pale for the style I thought. Very light tan head that had good lasting power and verg nice clingy lacing. Rather bland light roastd flavors with something that seemed a little off. A bit acidic or sour. Easy on the hops per the style and a nice rather heavy feel. unclemattie (4358) - Georgia, USA - AUG 31, 2006
I had this 12oz bottle as a sample at King Estate Winery, Lorane, OR. Very light dark reddish brown amber. medium bodied with malt flavors, caramel. very light finish.
