Draught at the brewhouse in Redmond. Black with a thick tan head. Tosty malt, chocolate, and some butterscotch in the aroma. The flavor is lightly buttery wit some dry roast. Lightly chalky mouthfeel and a medium-light heft. Too much diacetyl and not enough malt richness.

As far as stouts go, its big with a very solid body, a beer to fill you up. Bitter in the mouth from hops but also in the back with coffee notes. Those coffee notes are more like third grounds though.

Pint at the Bier Stein. Pours a deep brown with a thick cap of tan foam. Aroma was hefty chocolate, cocoa, cream and roast. Flavor was very roasty chocolate and coffee with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Easily the best CL brew that Ive had so far, I would definitely drink this again.
