Another diamond in the rough found courtesy of slikwily! Cascade Lakes' IPA entry makes for a great session beer, if an IPA can technically be one! Hops are evident in the aroma, but not overwhelmingly so. Average-sized, off white head. Cloudy, dark orange body. Excellent lace. Nice sharp hop flavor with a perfect sweetness level. Quite well balanced. If I lived in Oregon, this might be my go-to brew. Slick (1969) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - JUN 10, 2003
Nice amber color, tall head that last's for quite a long time.Malty sweet aroma with a nice hop presence, and a light spiciness as well.Nice flavor with malt and spice with the hops coming through loud and clear,a very refreshing brew.the after taste was mildly spicey with a slight hop bite at the end.Much better then there ale,I'm glad i have a second bottle for later. This is a fine brew. Honey colored, transluscent and pour with a moderate head. Aroma is citrusy. Flavor is more grassy, twig, and old leaves. Some malt sweetness. Finish mostly sweetness mixed with hop flavors mentioned earlier. I really like this IPA! glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 13, 2009
Clear copper with medium head. Nice drinkable example of an american IPA. Hops are the focus, with just enough bready malt to keep it whole. Satifsying bitter finish. Comes across even lighter than the 6.8% abv. AxeMaster221 (342) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 23, 2002
Nice hop aroma, with a reddish body and big head that diminished rather quickly. Had no idea it was 6.8% at the time, as the nice infusion of hops overwhelmed any alcohol taste. Nicely bitter hop finish.

Amber with a light head and nice lacing and carbonation. Sweet grapefruit with some bubblegum and crystal malt aromas. Nice bitter and citrus hop flavors. Good backing of malts that blends well. Sticky bitter and malty tail.

Visited the brew pub in Bend, OR. This was the best in he sampler in my opinion, but I’m a big, biased, IPA fan already. Pours pale golden yellow with some carbonation and a white head with nice lacing. Fruity, piney, delicious to the style hops, with a dry bitter finish. A very tasty IPA in the Northwest style. 19Ei8hty (1166) - Washington, USA - AUG 9, 2009
Biscuity malt backbone. Rich pine and a very floral hop component. Large grapefruit citrus notes. Piney and astringent - good from the 22oz’r, incredible on nitro. Don2711 (493) - - MAR 10, 2017
Nice pale ale. Floral notes. Fair bite on palate. Looks good. Quite hoppy and will try again Gusler (2652) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAR 4, 2003
Another big head beer from the Northwest, this time a Cascade Lakes IPA, excessive in size, frothy, beige, and the lace after a lustrum of dissipation is a nice covering sheet. Light hop floral tones first up, followed by the malt sweetness, fresh and clean to the senses, start is also quite sweet, laden with malt, the top average in feel. Finish has a perky hop spicy bite, the acidity moderate, the aftertaste dry and quite long lasting. Decent IPA, more reminiscent of the English than American IPA, but that’s not a bad thing.
