A good enough Porter, and a very nice beer to ring in career rating #1,800.
Pours a thin head on a dark brown body. Aroma is nice roasted malt, chocolate and mild coffee bitterness. Taste has a good roasty body, a little chocolate for sweet. Texture is crisp. Hanuta06 (501) - Washington, USA - OCT 31, 2016
Serving: from bottle--purchased at The Beer Junction.
Aroma: moderate cocoa.
Appearance: small, light-brown initial head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, cola-brown body.
Taste: lightly acidic initial flavor and moderately sweet, vanilla and smoke finish with long duration.
Palate: medium body, syrupy texture and lively carbonation.
Overall: better than average porter with really smokey finish. PorterPounder (8396) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 2, 2016
Portland, Or - on tap at Claudia’s Sports Bar Pitch black pour, khaki colored head, nice lace. Licorice, creosote, chocolate in the aroma . Solid bitterness, some coffee chocolate, a bit of licorice and a back end of topsoil earthiness. Mouthfeel could be thicker.

Sasparilla to black colored, with a decent enough head. The aroma is sooty roastiness with a burnt charcoal character. The body too was quite roasty with some acrid and sooty touches. Medium-bodied. Ok, but lacking in complexity. IndianaRed (5208) - Boise, Idaho, USA - APR 15, 2016
On Tap classic dark brown, with thin tan head and lacing. Typical roasted flavors and some bitter chocolate. Woody and earthy. A littel chemically at the end. jake65 (4035) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - NOV 8, 2015
Bottle from Homebrewstuff. Very dark brown pour, topped with a whispy beige head. Spotty lacing. At first sniff, and ultimately throughout the entire glass, the aroma is fantastic. Spot on for the style; roast, cocoa, and vanilla are incredibly rich and well balanced. Taste is roast and moderate bittersweetness. A little thin and unfortunately it gets a little bit chalky on the back end… it lingers in the finish. mjg74 (3230) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 19, 2015
Bottle from Roth’s. Very dark, almost pitch black. Sweet sugary nose with some anise. A little roasty. Reminds me of a foreign stout. Fairly thin body. Lightly roasty with a lot of milky sweetness. Pretty light porter. Some roast in the finish, but lacking depth. zoucrew102 (2312) - - MAY 23, 2015
Bottle, thanks ctomson! Roasted malt aroma with light chocolate notes. Pours dark brown with a thin light brown head with decent retention and lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt with light coffee and good chocolate notes. Finishes smooth but dry with roasted malt and chocolate throughout. Nice porter.
