COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pronounced “vice” this is a genuine example of a traditional German wheat beer. Through the use of a special strain of yeast from Germany we have been able to create a truly outstanding wheat beer. With hints of banana, clove, and even pineapple, this beer doesn’t need to be served with a lemon! What could be better on a warm fall day than a German sausage, a little sauerkraut and a pint of our Weiss. Prost!

Deep hazy straw body. Lots of carbonation. Immense banana nose. Big grainy wheat malt backbone that provides a solid foundation for the clove spice. Peach sweetness with lemons notes.

Sham (1844) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 8, 2005
Cloudy gold with no head or lace. Banana esters with spice and wheat. Citrus and grassy hops. The citrus comes out nicely blending well with the banana and wheat. Spices hover about. Tangy full bodied with a finish of spices.

Sampled draught at Cascade Lakes Lodge, Bend
Light hazy gold, no head. Nose of citrusy yeast, a bit of esters & phenols but fairly light. Also a nice hop note with it to carry it along. Finishes balanced & awesome. I like this one.

ABUSEDGOAT (2756) - California, USA - NOV 6, 2006
Pale golden. Aroma is very wheaty with notes of lemons, bananas, bread and more wheat. Nice tart finish. This one offered way more than the American wheats from the other 2 Bend brewers I visited.

blueduk (118) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - APR 1, 2007
(Draft at the brewpub Bend) Pours hazy orangey gold with a big white foamy head. Aromas of banana and citrus (lemon) and wheat bread. This is decidedly not an American-style wheat. Light-bodied, crisp and clean. There’s a bit of sweetness mixed with the tangy finish which I found a little unusual. Best wheat beer in the Bend area.
