This NW style sour ale is a blend of blond ales aged seven months, then additionally with lemon peel. Aromas of sweet lemons and zest are noticed up front. Sweet then tart lemony notes roll across the palate and lead to a light lemon citrusy finish. This is a real summer sipper!

Awesome line-up at the Tart Fruit Extravaganza. Pours a clear yellow color with a medium white head. A huge fruity lemon nose. The flavor is lemon peel and zest, sour oak, fresh citrus, a bit of sweeter notes (this in a good way is reminiscent of some cleaning solutions). Nice. Solid very drinkable beer.

Sampled at KillerBeerFest 5, Bailey’s Taproom. Pours orangey yellow. Smells like...Lemon Pledge? I mean that as a compliment. Taste is like lemonade and balsamic vinegar. Nicely sweet without being cloying.

P: Clear golden blonde with a frosty white head. S: A ton of lemon zest with some floss. T: Lots of lemon peel, bit soapy. Should I say lemon soap? Medicinal flavors also. M: Thin with some tart/bitterness and finishes dry. O: I drank my pour easy but not sure I would be able to do an entire 750ml bottle (if they bottle this). It has lots of citrus but its not like a ipa, this is very medicinal

Strong lemon aroma with a touch of alcohol. Slight medicinal, ammonia flavors but fades quickly to reveal a lemon slushy flavor with a slight tartness.

Clear yellow pour with a big white head. Soft lemon aroma with a bit of a pledge hint. Mild sour kick. Good, but mellow.

On tap at Cascade, pours a clear blonde with a medium white head. Aroma is kind of medicinal, with notes of band-aid, dry tart lemon peel, and dental floss. Flavour is similar, bringing out notes of band-aid and dental floss, atop dry lemons and zest. I can’t get past the medicinal notes. It’s not a disaster, but it seems off. Not very good at all.
