COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Manhattan NW, a NW style sour ale that was, until recently, a secret. Its a blend of Blond Quad aged in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels on 150 pounds of sour pie cherries for five months before additionally aging on apricot noyaux for three months. Aromas of cherries, Bourbon, sweet candy and hints of spice are noticed up front. Tart cherry skins and Maraschino cherries on the palate lead to a dance of rich cherry notes that are followed by slight Bourbon sweetness. Much like the process to make fission, the steps involved here are greater than the sum of their parts. What isnt a secret? At 11.32% ABV, youre going to need a designated driver

Bottle courtesy of Mark and shared with the Shape crew. 2013 Anno. Trouble lger brun-acajou, col fin beige.

bought in portland, about $50 .. . shared with my midweek crew .. . abv is quite apparent .. light ruby .. cherry juice and mild tart cherry liquor .. utterly disappointing- for what went into this and then to pay what i paid, bizarre. didnt enjoy this, and even taking the price out of it, subpar .. . . its a problem for you, its a problem for me...
