On tap at Stone Sour Fest 2014. Mostly clear golden pour, with a white head. Sweet doughy, almond extract, nutty, mild white vinegar, maraschino cherries, and sourness. Interesting sour. vyvvy (6639) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 22, 2014
On tap at the brewpub - Pours pale yellow with a white head. The aroma has sour/tartness and definite almondy thing going on. There is also citrus, vinegar and sweetness. It has a medium rich body with semi-soft carbonation. The flavor begins with a weird mix of almonds and sour - rich nuttiness, light acidity and a hint of fruitiness. The finish adds a creaminess. Strange beer - its not for me, but glad I got to try it. willbot858 (2) - - JUN 22, 2014 does not count
This is truly a beer of great depth and complexity. The nose shows only a hint of the palate complexity which is why you want to keep going back for more. Only the color keeps it from being near perfect. deekyn (1459) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAY 2, 2014
A- pours slightly hazy straw yellow with a thin white head that does not linger. Virtually no lacing or retention. S- almond paste in the face. Oranges, Marciano cherries, sugar cookies, sandies, cherry vanilla coke all support. Light honey. M- light tacky body with a light to medium sweet palate. Mild carbonation. T- cherries and almond paste again make their presence known. Mid palate is lemon, line and grass with some mild sugar and tea. Ending is efficient and clean with a light almond, celery root and mineral aftertaste. Theydon_Bois (20452) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2012
From the barrel at Cascade, Portland - 07/11/12.
Lightly hazed mid amber with a very thin white head that soon clears to the edges.
Nose is bog on almond, ameretto booze, marzipan truffles, light wood.
Taste follows, again big on almond, touch of wood.
Full bodied beer with soft/limited carbonation leading to a tarte and sour finish.
Decent sour/wild but a little hooked on the marzipan/almond flavour, could have been slightly better tempered!

On tap at Cascade Brewing, pours a hazy darkish orange with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of pungent almond extract, artificial sweetness and shortbread cookies. Flavour of slightly sweetened and soured almond extract, with a boozy, almond extract finish. A cool experiment, but not exactly enjoyable. The nose is much more pleasant than the flavour. OK.
