UPDATED: JUL 31, 2010 Light, golden coloured (looks much like a lager). Subtle citrus aroma and the flavour is once again citrus with a little hop and malt. Perfectly drinkable and certainly better than the average aussie beer. hawthorne00 (3900) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 9, 2010
It’s been 15 years since I had this: when young and poor I drank it all the time as it was the same price as VB and other truly awful beers. Then they priced it alongside decent Euro lagers and I stopped. Anyway: Bottle. Pours gold, modest white head. Some lacing. Mild aroma of malt, hay and citrus. Moderately sweet malts with decent bitterness for the style. Dry, vaguely citric finish with some salt. Still better than other Australian macros and still an OK beer on a hot night. rhensens (7) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 28, 2009 does not count
Being from tassie this is my local brewery and my favourite beer from there its the beer that is always in my fridge - my comfort beer you could say!!! mickmac (484) - Ngunnawal, AUSTRALIA - JUL 17, 2009
Bottle. Pours with a large white head a light amber body. Smells of subtle citrus. Balanced with a subdued citrus taste. nothing special here. A quaffer on a 40 degree day. mkel07 (5833) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUL 5, 2009
330ml bottle. Well carbonated with a nice snow white head and moderate carbonation. Honey coloured with a misty cloudiness when poured. Aroma of malt and barley, very basic. Nice evenly balanced bitterness and good lacing on the glass. Nice enough taste but nothing special.

330ml Bottle fair whack out of date...09 Nov 08.
Clean pale gold body, small washy white foam.
Don’t get alot on the nose, faint citrus hop twang, malt sweetness and a metallic bready yeast note.
Light bodied, medium carbonation, gritty drying texture.
Corny malt body, hint of hop citrus and grass, cereal, bread and cardboard. Bitter finish lingers, very metallic, skunky, a bit offputting.
Might be the bottle being out of date and all, not hugely unpleasant, just tastes a bit skunky. I swear this beer used to be like Coopers Pale Ale!? TassieCarl (5) - Blackmans Bay, AUSTRALIA - NOV 2, 2008 does not count
Nice golden colour, best descibed as one of the better Australian summer session beers. Lacks body or flavour complexity for those looking for these characteristics. Soapy finish. Spend the extra few dollars and purchase the Premium versions from this brewer. Bragesnak (5394) - Aarhus, DENMARK - MAR 29, 2008
Not just great when cold and with ciitric hops in the summer sun
Malty profile and a descent bitterness

Bottle (375ml). Poured a golden yellow with a frothy white head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was of cornish malts, honey and some grassy hops. Flavor was of sweet/cornish malts, honey, a very light hop bitterness, mild lemon and some faint grassy notes. Light bodied with lively carbonation, dry nouthfeel, watery texture and a ok finish. Not the worst pale larger out there. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 24, 2008
(Can 37,5 cl) Pours a clear, golden with a neat, white, lacing head. Sweetish malt aroma. Medium-bodied, a little low in carbonation with sweet notes of malt, brewing cereal and an edge of cardboard. There’s actually a discreet whiff of hops in the finish and also some alcohol presence. But Pale Ale? Not really. 240108
