Nice brew. Complexe but nice. A must try beer. But I do enjoy the Tasmanian brews.

In my opinion the best pale ale out there. Strong hoppiness, lasting bitterness. Great price too rhensens (7) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 28, 2009 does not count
Being from tassie this is my local brewery and my favourite beer from there its the beer that is always in my fridge - my comfort beer you could say!!! Spanner (60) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - FEB 25, 2004
A cracking all-rounder of an ale: refreshing, tart and punch-packing, able to be drunk all night, and a winner with a host of food options.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2007 Yellow coloring. Smooth and buttery with a light fruity taste, which I could not identify. Waterside Hotel, Melbourne.

I get torn between whether this beer is great or whether it is simply ordinary. Today I purchased a six pack for the first time in a number of years and yes it went down well but is it a Pale Ale I’m not so sure...
Worth a taste if you are looking for a lagerish style. Jimthechap (2064) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - APR 30, 2015
I rather liked this. For a mainstream beer this has a gorgeous golden colour and white head, an aroma of gooseberry and grapefruit hoppiness that comes through well in the flavour. This is a beer I could happily reach for several times. drjoeng (1358) - SINGAPORE - DEC 11, 2015
Tapped out clear blonde Amber. 6°SRM.
Nose has some clean beery aromas. Lager like in the nose with pale malt and some cider sourness.
Mouthfeel is watery. Some sourness in the palate that is cidery, this vanishes after a brief time almost abruptly and the the medium finish.
Finish is malt sweet and nicely drawn out medium balanced with some thin hoppy herbaceousness.
Very much like a lager. Actually is a lager. dubs (117) - St Peters, NSW, AUSTRALIA - OCT 13, 2002
This is actually OK. I dont have wet dreams over this shit, and I agree that its not as flavoursome as Coopers equivalent, but a damn fine way to get pissed at the Botany View watching cricket on the big screen (its about 0.7% stronger than Coopers too). When they have this on tap, i dont get anything else: a perfect summers afternoon beer. Lion Nathan, hands off!!! bfgill (120) - Tasmania, AUSTRALIA - OCT 9, 2003
This beer is refreshing enough, fresh aroma, supporting malt with a sturt hoppy finish finishing with a lingering bitterness. Not a bad lager, it stumbles against coopers though, but is superior to cascade draught. a beer you can drink and drink and drink and drink.....cheers
