Draught @ Brouwer’s Café: Deep mahogany, moderate to large frothy light beige head, very nice lacing. Meaty malty nose, faint nuttiness. Big malty start, pale roast, nutty, with faint pithy hops. Has a decent amount of sweetness to it, feels a bit dry. Moderate to full body and mouthfeel. Sweet malty finish, slight biscuit, doughy, nutty, and bready. Very little hop bite coming in after the finish, but otherwise it seems well balanced. Seems like a nice hefty Amber Ale. Perhaps even a little chocolate malt at the very end. Enjoyable!

Sampled on tap at Cascade Brewpub, pours a clear amber wit ha small tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, especially raisins and plums, and toasted nuts. Flavour of the aforementioned dark fruits: plum, raisins and nectarine, with some toasted nuts as well. Dry palate, finishing with orange peel. Decent, but not overly interesting. Draft at elliott bay pizza. Pours an opaque mahogany, nearly black. Balanced and restrained brown bread nose with toasty herbal hop in. Creamy thick body with lively carb, powerful and forward.
