Bottle 330ml. Great beer! Aromas of dark fruit, and roasted coffee. Taste is sweet, with a long-lasting bitter finish. Palate is silky, and medium bodied. Black, with a thin off-white head. Thunzie (4) - Tamworth, AUSTRALIA - DEC 19, 2006 does not count
As a stout fan this is definitely one for fellow admirers. Maybe a little too heavy to drink all night but thats what I look for in a good stout, it’s a great starter. Pours and sits very nicely in the glass and has a flavour that lingers nicely. If you dig a smooth yet mildly sweet stout this will satisfy. thebaron99 (110) - Royston Park SA, AUSTRALIA - NOV 18, 2001
Aroma’s of lavender and ice cream. Texture is thinner than Guinness. Flavours of dark chocolate, hints of Jamaican rum n’ raisins, ashes and leather with licorice delicious. No discernible head, stuff it . Good with vanilla ice cream. Brodies_Best (269) - Auckland Central, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 20, 2012
375 ml bottle. Pours dark with quickly fading tan head. Aroma o alcohol, toffee, caramel and lightly roasted coffee beans. Slightly acidic smooth very easy to drink dry stout with medium body. Sweet roasted malt aftertaste. denemc (3) - Dunedin, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 6, 2013 does not count
I love this beer. It is a beautiful dark colour and has a great head. Rich chocolate and coffee flavour with a nice bitter finish. For a commercially made Aussie beer this is a good one.

375 ml bottle. Pitch black with a thick brown head. Massive aroma of milk chocolate, malted milk, and a bit of earthiness. Roasty, but not burnt. Nice creamy texture and awesome chocolate malt flavour. Roasty finish with some lingering bitterness. Arassuil (13) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - DEC 5, 2007
Found this at the local bottleshop, and was pleased with its contents. It poured opaque black in the glass leaving just a whisp of a tan head. The smooth heavily flavoured front end balanced well with its slight bitter aftertaste, and it went down easy. boozah (7) - , AUSTRALIA - OCT 30, 2008 does not count
Poured from 750 ml bottle ’Cascade Export Stout’, awesome geezer label. Very dark brown, almost opaque, with lacing tan head. Nutty aroma. Nutty, chocolate flavour with pleasing astringency from roast malts and hop bitterness. Hints of fudge and coffee. A medium thick mouthfeel. A local favourite in certain quarters, and a good Tasmanian default for cooler weather. donfardz64 (538) - Wellington, New Zealand, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 5, 2009
Pours almost pitch black with ruby edges. Almost black coffee colour head. Milk chocolate aromas little bit yeasty, caramel, roast malt and some hops there too. Smells like a stout should! On the flavour initially you are hit with some strong chocolaty bitterness, a subtle malty sweetness prevents it from becoming too much. Full of bitter roast malt coffee flavour, smooth vanilla notes and subtle nuttyness. The finish is long, chocolaty and dry. A real surprise for me – one of the best Stouts I’ve had and you can buy it in a 6 pack! vanDahl (9) - Churchill, AUSTRALIA - JUN 17, 2010 does not count
Bottle. Dark brown pour with tinges or red. Creamy light tan head that quickly settles on top. Complex lacing. An aroma of roasted coffee and toffee. Thick and rich on the tongue. Roasted caramel and chocolate/toffee notes fading to a delicious noninvasive bitterness that lingers.
