COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This easy drinking NW style sour ale was aged in rum barrels for 20 months with tangerine zest, then blended with our Apricot Ale. Sweet aromas of tangerine and rum are the first thing you notice as you draw your glass near. A quenching sweet citrus, then rum spice take turns dancing on your palate. Rich rum spice and warmth lead to a lingering sweet tangerine finish like warn sand. Most rum beers only go to 10, ours goes to 11!

From notes. Enjoyed on draft at Hunahpus Day 2017 on March 11. The pour is a darker golden orange with a thicker white head that vanishes with haste without leaving any lace. The aroma is tart and clean up front. There is a lovely apricot to it and a strong oak with a nice rum sweetness. There is a bit of dustiness and a hint of farmhouse funk, but the apricots really control this one. The flavor is a little more alcohol-forward, but the oakiness and the light citrus and apricot really blend well together on the finish. There is a hint of spicy rum and the oak really comes through on the back end. The mouth feel is light and crisp with a softer carbonation and a lingeringly oak-dominated fruity and tart aftertaste. This is pretty damn tasty.

On tap at City Beer. It pours an orange color with an off white head. The aroma is amazing with apricot preserves, tang, a little little oak and bourbon. The flavor is tangerine juice, apricot preserves, oak and a little rum-like spirits. Lots of oak and bourbon in finish. Holy cow, this was lip smacking tasty with a complex acid and alcohol profile.

Tap at City Beer. Pours cloudy amber. Aroma is grapes, vanilla, funk, but clearly a atrong sweet beer behind it, almost boozy. Tangerines, yes, I think so. Body is rather heavy, leveraged down by sourness and fizzy carbonation. Intense throughout, but balanced too. Very good.

Bottle. Thanks Mark! Great aroma, tangerine, citrus, light spice. Something medicinal. Taste is great, loads of fruit, nice spritz, sweetness, no sense of the booze, sherbert, later on, get some booze, rum. Great.

Bottle shared courtesy of Mark-sama (you rock!). 5 year aged. Lovely heady nose, wine texture, loads of tangerine, marmalade with a tart edge, followed by deep and complex notes of spiced rum, oak, apricot, more tart on the finish. Definitely up their with top-notch vintage wines, now I get why that brewery is so special.

Bottle. 2011 batch. Spicy nose, oranges, rum, a bit of vinegar. Huge, complex, lovely. Flavor of tangerines, biscuits, chocolate, wine, spicy. Rum notes are amazing. Great fruit depths. Wow, this is lovely stuff. Has aged very well and seems better than people have found it in the past. Much less sour than the typical Casade, and so balanced and complex.

Bottle at What The Funk. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is apricot, tangerine, peach, sugar candy. Thin mouth, nice tartness, spice from the rum, tangerine and apricot, hides alcohol well, very nice.
