UPDATED: MAR 6, 2018 33cl bottle bought at Carrefour. Not a bad commercial ale, with certain touches to wheat and Belgian beers. Dark, roasts and slightly strong beer

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (Style 26B). bottle 33 cl - Batch L4673472130 (BBF 13.12.18). AROMA: medium estery aroma with notes of plums, candied pears and a slightly sweet malty background. slight peppery background. APPEARANCE: dark ambar color and clear. medium-low ivory head with medium retention. lace formation. TASTE: similar to the aroma, with a rich malt flavor (toffee-like, slight toasty) and esters (plums). slight peppery flavor. medium to medium-high bitterness with a dry finish. PALATE: medium body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a nice belgian-like dubbel.

37,5cl bottle (as "CERVEZA ALE") from Carrefour, Finestrat. Pours copper coloured with a modest off-white head. Malty and fruity aroma with plenty of ripe bananas, caramel and hints of dried fruits. Weird hybrid somehow, the massive banana makes me think of wheat, but that should be present. It's certainly fruity, but not very Belgian in my book. Sweet, but certainly drinkable still.

mile (4126) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 4, 2018
Bottle. Dark golden, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty - some wheat and sweetish aroma, some caramel - light bread, light fruitiness Body is medium, malty - light wheat and sweetish flavor, some caramel - faint bread, light fruitiness. Finish is short to average, malty - some wheat and sweetish, some caramel and light fruitiness. Quite one-dimensional, lacks character. Way too sweet for me.

bottle from el corte ingles. label says CERVEZA ALE instead of jacometrezo but color and design and abv is the same. clear amber, smooth offwhite to light brown head. Malty and fruity aroma, like a mild belgian ale, only perhaps a little bit more clean. flavor is malts, bread, rye, faint roasted malts, quite tasty, not much fruits, but it suits the beer well, let's call this a very dry version of a belgian ale. taste reminds me of the vienna type of beer, due to the clean yeast and the lack of dried dark fruits.

Aroma: Caramel and herbs. Appearance: Red/ambar color with clear liquid and white head. Taste: Medium sweetness with a light bitter touch. Palate: Medium body with thin texture and average carbonation. Short sweet caramel and sparkling finish. Overall: Beer to drink slowly. Soft palate after the appearance expectations. Easy to drink.
