Bottle poured into a brandy snifter showing pitch black center with thin translucent coffee brown rims.
The nose shows a strong chili background with hints of cocoa and vanilla.
The palate is full bodied and slick with light carbonation. Moderately sweet with flavors of savory chili peppers, milk chocolate and light vanilla on the finish. Chili pepper heat on the front. SlovakSniper (5561) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 21, 2017
Robe affolante.
Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours pitch black. The aroma is a luxuriant and rich swirl of chocolate, vanilla and cinnamon. I didn’t pick up the peppers. Full-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and adequate carbonation. The flavor features the same fusion of cinnamon, chocolate and vanilla, but with a touch of nice chili pepper flavor. Not much heat. It’s heavy on the cinnamon, but I love good cinnamon. There’s some caramel in here as well. This is one of the better Hunahpu’s clones I’ve ever tried. You gotta figure a former CCB brewer is gonna know a thing or two about brewing a Hunahpu’s-like beer and treating it with the proper adjuncts. This is three times as good as the 2016 version of bottled Hunahpu’s. World-class beer! ctipping (2179) - Florida, USA - JAN 9, 2017
650 mL bottle. Black body with almost no head. Smells of cinnamon, chocolate, peppers, and a little bit metallic. Tastes of chocolate, cinnamon all over the place. Some peppers in the finish. Quite the cinnamon bomb. Heavy with low carbonation. Tasty stout. 50belair (3670) - Florida, USA - JAN 9, 2017
Bottle. Dark brown pour with a light brown head. Cinnamon and chili bouquet. Massive amounts of cinnamon. In fact I would argue to much cinnamon. Don’t get much after the cinnamon except for hints of chillis and caramel. Average body and mouthfeel.

750ml bottle purchased at Hill Farmstead thanks to Julien. Pours jet black, with a smooth lasting mocha head leaving strong lacing. Smells strong chilli peppers, cinnamon and roast. Very pleasant on the nose. Some dark chocolate and small coffee as well brought all together by a slight vanilla smoothness. Tastes amazing. Chilli pepper heat, cinnamon spice and vanilla sweetness combining perfectly together to create a wonderful stout. Love it. Great roasty finish to go along with all the complex flavor. Full mouthfeel. surrounds your entire pallet just how it should. Wonderful overall. mathieuc (4000) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 31, 2016
Pours a very dark brown with a "roux" rim that leaves spotty lacing. Nose is of cinnamon, chile peppers, cloves and mexican mole. Taste is indeed pretty sweet with spicy chocolate, salted caramel, maple syrup and cinnamon. Mouthfeel is quite impressive and rich with a really full body and soft carbonation. Alcohol is never too hot and in fact I’m not even sure if I’m not mistaking chile peppers heat for it, really. Overall a really nice filling dessert. Pours black with low beige head. Aroma is of vanilla, chile, brown sugar. Taste is of vanilla, chile, marshmallows, brown sugar, spices, something hot. Palate: Full bodied, soft carbonation. Overall: Good stuff, but maybe a tad overdone? Not for the faint of heart. czar (9250) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 20, 2016
bottle shared by tom10101, thanks bro! pours unclear very dark brown with a nice reviving beige head, some lacing. roasted chocolate, burnt raspberries, quite jammy in fact, mole, subtle chilies, hint of smoked peppers, some sweetness - chocolate powder; spices. moderately low carbonation, medium body - oily; sweet vanilla-spicy finish. sweet spicy and very fruity imperial stout. not really balanced but it all makes sense as a christmas-like sipper. tom10101 (6195) - Quebec, CANADA - DEC 20, 2016
Bottle (22 oz), shared. Dark brown - almost black - with reddish reflects, a light brown head leaving little lacing. Aroma is of cinnamon, chili peppers/spiciness, cocoa nibs, coconut, roasted malts and coffee notes. Taste is quite sweet with cinnamon, chili peppers, cocoa nibs, coconut, light acidic notes and tobacco notes. Medium-full body. Moderate carbonation. Thick and oily mouthfeel. Lingering sweet and cinnamon finish. It’s super flavorful but quite sweet.
