COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop-Forward India Pale Ale
5 Points is the original name of the intersection in front of Cask & Larder. The beer is an American IPA brewed with a Southern California water profile. Maris Otter base malt with Belgian Cara malts are used for slight sweetness and color. A variety of West Coast hops are also used throughout the brewing process to give a well-rounded hop profile without being overly bitter.

Orlando, Fl - on tap at Cask & Larder. Sparkling, light golden pour, nice sticky bone colored head, solid lacing. Aroma has some spicy notes, a touch of coriander and spruce. Solid flavor, pick up a lot of fruitiness, some mango, a bit of citrus bitterness, some light maple syrup sweetness, Pleasantly thick mouthfeel.

Growler at RBWG, poured a golden color with aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, malt, and some light grass. Flavors are the same light malt with citrus thrown in. Nice IPA overall.

Pours a clear golden brown on tap with bubbly off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, and tropical fruit from the hops. Taste is the hops up front then a nice caramel malt back, with a nice clean bitter finish. Solid IPA.

NIce because it was not so bitter. NIce olor and aroma. I like the priming although in this one was not so noticeable.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear amber pour with a white head. Pleasant grapefruit/pine bouquet. Grapefruit hop notes dominate with undercurrent of pine and citrus. Good balance with a sturdy malt backbone. Good body and mouthfeel. A solid IPA.

(Tap) clear, bright orange amber colour with a small white head; aroma of citrus; slightly oily palate; bitter flavour with a long, strong bitter finish. Not sure if this was a bad batch but it was unbalanced and unpleasant.

Nice one. Draft at C&L. Fairly complex hop nose, pine resin, tropical fruit (a funky pineapple maybe?), sweat sock, maybe some citrus but less of that. Flavor more resiny, solid malt backbone but it doesn’t get in the way, you’re still mostly thinking about the hops. Balanced finish. Deep amber color.

On tap at Cask and Larder, pours a golden orange color. Nose is bitter and citrusy. Taste is bitter as well with strong pine and resin. Finish is bitter and moderately long. Quaff Score 7 / 10
