Poured a cloudy golden color with a small creamy, fizzly head with no lacing. It had a sweet apple, light fruit aroma, there was also some carbonation in the aroma. Had a somewhat old taste, slight carbonation, mild apple, spice dry finish. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - AUG 22, 2003
Pours a hazy golden with a large puffy white head and plenty of lace. Subtle malty and Belgian yeasty aroma. Light sugary body, perhaps too sweet. Dry bitter flavor toward the end. Not a bad Biere de Garde, but could use some balance and complexity. tallmatt67 (99) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 3, 2003
Subtle light caramelly malt aroma with a light citrus ester hint (no hop aroma) and faint mustiness. Beautiful bright golden straw color with funky chunky yeast sediment unless you very carefully decant. Light carbonatation and bright acidity complements light caramel malt flavor and green apple esters with very slight alcohol spicyness. Soft, persistent bitterness rounds out a lingering slighly dry finish. Nice. mdi (573) - Nebraska, USA - AUG 3, 2003
App: light gold,no head(although I didn't get to pour it myself, even swirling the glass didn't produce much foam)
Aro:Floral, musty, carmelized malt
Palate:nice and easy
Flavor:malt with spicy yeast notes...didn't notice much alcohol.
Overall:it comes together nicely, sweet, spicy, floral, malty. But as others have said "good but not great" JPDIPSO (6257) - Wauwatosa, USA - JUL 26, 2003
Lightly cloudy golden color with a moderate fluffy white head. Barnyard and alcohol aroma. Flavors of light apples, mild sweet malt and farm yeast. Mild acidic finish. Mild and uneventful.

Started with a big malt body, followed by light fruits. Not overly carbonated - added to the smoothness. Dry finish with lingering fruits. tasty. Rockinout (966) - Kent, Ohio, USA - JUL 14, 2003
Bright golden color, spicy apple sweet nose. Upfront malty dark fruit taste. Very light and crisp on the palate. My first real Biere de Garde. WabashMan (1024) - Noblesville, Indiana, USA - MAY 17, 2003
A nice looking offering, with medium yellow/gold color and a fairly large whitish head. The aroma is fairly light, as seems typical of the style, but is nice. The flavor seems lightly earthy, and sits a long while on the palatte. A nice Biere de Garde, though not a great one. ericnixon (746) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 5, 2003
Fancy corked 750ml bottled two months ago (March 7, 2003). i found the label to be overly lacking. it was ok, but i expected more from the label. The beer was a nice golden color with an aroma that reminded me faintly of hard cider. sorta. the taste reminded me of the label...ok, but i found it to be lacking and let me down a little. not bad at all, but then again nothing really wowed me either. 750ML bottle dated 03/07/03 drank on 05/05/03: Clear light yellow color with a small white head. Straw/grassy aroma with a touch of lemon and a bit of yeast. Fizzy mouthfeel, ends sweet and without much character.
