Big Saaz aroma. Deceptively dry but with medium body. Very light flavors, only hints of spices and herbs on a french bread background. Finishes slightly herbal and cooling without bitterness.
From old tasting notes. Deep brassy gold color. Large bubbly white head. Light malt aroma. Wonderfully flavorful toasted sweet malt has fruity notes. Hints of grapes and honeydew melon. Bittersweet hop finish. Very good. fischersfriend (22) - Statesville, North Carolina, USA - MAR 25, 2017
Fresh but not too dry. Smooth drinker, slightly sweet . Not too much just right, with slight bitter aftertaste. Interesting style Jabic (559) - Plainfield, Vermont, USA - JAN 24, 2017
Ar: Grass and pils malt, a touch of oxidation (lightly papery); hay and grass notes, with herbal hop aroma; a touch of lager-like sulfur. Ap: Straw-gold and crystal clear; medium-large white head with good retention, leaves a ring of foam with a thin, patchy covering on the top. T: Lightly sweet pils malt up front; clean, firm maltiness; very few esters, just a hint of apple, peach, and bitter orange; low bitterness, with herbal, noble hop notes; clean, warming alcohol taste toward the finish; a fair bit of musty oxidation. P: Medium-light body with medium-high carbonation; finish is dry. O: Classic blond biere de garde; pronounced malt character and low esters, with a nice mix of hay and grass, providing a bit of a rustic edge; nice hoppiness as well, with a spot-on appearance and mouthfeel. italianjohn (3108) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 11, 2016
Hazy golden pour with quick receding white head .... Aroma of sweet citrusy fruit, caramel malts, grassy hops and light Berry .... Taste is sweet and of citrusy fruits, light Berry and sweet grassy hops ... A little grainy and malty ... Soft mouthfeel ... Little too sweet for the style Dacrza (960) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - JAN 9, 2016
DATE TASTED: January 9, 2016... GLASSWARE: Duvel tulip... OCCASION... pinewood derby cars, cut and awaiting sanding tomorrow... APPEARANCE: a central whirl of bubbles power a light amber body with moderate clarity; a snow-white two-finger head simmer to a cirrus island with an atoll surrounding it... AROMA: ginger, resin, and vanilla join with light dough, bubblegum, and damp yeasts... caramel and toffee are sweet... quite a panoply of scents to breathe in... PALATE: medium-bodied, mellow--flatter than the glass suggests--and slick... TASTE: apple and pear roll out, almost as a cider, before the caramel and toffee sweeten the deal... this glass offers the bubblegum and pepper more associated with a weizen, but the malt is heavy and holds the flavor profile’s roots down.... OVERALL: a strong, pleasant conveyance of 6.4% worth of ABV, with a fruity, malty flavor that begs for the next sip.... the sugary aftertaste suggests a dessertif...the late phenol might suggest a bigger hit than it delivers, but overall, an enjoyable experience...

Crisp with slight herb and floral notes. Beautiful blonde color. A good spring/summer beer.

11.2 oz capped bottle. Pours a fizzy blonde color with a thick cream foam head and lace. Corny, grassy aroma. Surprised to see a lot of different flavor here. Mostly grassy with a lot of corn and some wheat. Thick creamy body to it. Dry grain finish. Interesting beer. ffaoe (779) - Moorestown, New Jersey, USA - JAN 2, 2015
malty aroma, slight fruit notes. golden and clear with a nice head. malty flavor, smooth finish hman43 (1540) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - AUG 30, 2014
It pours golden with pulp like suspended elements in the glass. It has a honey aroma, with bread malts, a bit of caramel, and earthly elements. It has a sweet taste with a bit of sour with a fair bit of carbonation pop to it. Taste does have dough and bread flavoring to it. gschrade (1084) - Collinsville, Illinois, USA - JUL 28, 2014
I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste sweet, biscuit, fruity. I thought this was pretty good. I would definitely drink this again.
