clong83 (285) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 4, 2009
A very smooth biere de garde, A bit thin, but not off-putting. A little bready and somewhat sweet and rather refreshing. Surprisingly not yeasty for a biere de garde...

dirty blond color. long lasting head. yeasty aroma which reminded me of belgians. Nothing great but not at all bad.

FezMonkey (268) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JAN 14, 2003
Nothing to write home about but still better than the mass produced beers. I would most likely not get this one again not because it was bad just that there are others I prefer.

cewldre (268) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 29, 2007
bottle: Pours a hazy gold color with a pretty sizable white head. Smell is crisp with some spice notes. Taste is sweet, maybe some raisin feel. Taste is also very crisp. Not bad.

swirl (267) - collingswood, New Jersey, USA - MAR 28, 2005
Pale straw color with a nice white head. Lots of citrus and fruits in the aroma. Nice crisp taste. Definately a beer I will drink again.

Lyncham (251) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 23, 2010
Large format bottle served in tulip glass. Grassy aromas with slight apples and peppery spice. Clear deep yellow color. Med carbonation with small bubbles. Balance fruit sweetness of apples with clove and Bready malts with grassy dry bitterness. Very refreshing.

mvcramer (243) - Lexington, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 29, 2007
Enjoyed with a ribeye and frites at small bistro in Cambridge, MA. 25.4oz offering. This is a nice beer that opened up a bit as it warmed. It may have been stored and served too cold. Pour shows a pale golden/yellow color, fairly transparent, with a billowy snow-white head. Beautiful. Aroma was somewhat sour on first pour but evolved a bit to some light spicy hop notes that you get in this style (some describe them as earthy or hay-ish, which I would agree with). Flavor is crisp on the palate. Light malty notes and a clean, crisp, lightly-hopped finish that is very pleasant on the entire palate. Just the slightest touch of citrus, which I felt should have been more pronounced.

750mL bottle, thanks to ryan. Pours a pale hazy yellow. Aroma has herbs, citrus and yeast. Taste is nice and dry, with lots of yeast and a gentle bitter hop finish. Nice beer.

doubleipa (224) - Georgia, USA - JUN 19, 2006
This bottle has been in the cellar for two years. LIght malt, hay, dough, spruce(a little) and a bit of hops in the aroma. Also some pepper and clove. Off-white, creamy head, with excellent lacing. Body was orange and clear. Light, sweet taste with average finish. Texture was dry. Not nearly as much carbonation as what I had two years ago. This has mellowed quite a bit. As I remember, I didn’t much care for the fresh version.

nefarious (220) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - MAY 30, 2008
vewry good! I guess my expectations were so low for this that I was soooo pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. Very golden pour with a huge creamy head. wasnt big on the grassy and sharp aroma but what a great flavor. Grapes and slight fruit and mild hops. Would be wonderful session beer. I will have this again!
