One of the better Ch'ti. Dark brown, fine yellow head. Malty aroma and a flavor with a note of laqurice. PetetheMeat (621) - Hove, DENMARK - AUG 26, 2004
brown ale, off-white tall, lasting head. Good carbonation. Sweet aroma, a bit yeasty. Very malty sweet flavour. Roasted malts. Muscovado sugar. Perfumy notes (typical french ...) A hint of dryness and hops in the finish. Somewhat dry palate. Overall easy drinking brune. shigadeyo (3767) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 24, 2007

Serving: 750 mL corked and caged bottle (6.4% ABV) shared by Tmoney99. Thanks Tom!
Event: Tasting with friends.
Location: Dilly Deli
Aroma: Sour cherry, prune juice, hint of vinegar and chocolate.
Appearance: Deep mahogany color (brown with reddish hues) with a diminishing beige head. The remaining crown is frothy.
Flavor: Initially it has a deep caramel flavor. Actually, maybe a better way to describe it would be more like the way toffee once tasted (brown sugar/soy sauce). After the initial maltiness, the flavor moves to a sour cherry/fruit middle. There is some mild cardboard flavor in the finish along with a hint of hop bitterness.
Palate: Medium body with a soft and smooth texture.
Overall: Moderately sweet with some tang to it. Quite a unique and somewhat complex beer.
High light brown frothy head on a dark brown body. The taste is fruity, without the bitternes on could expect from such a brew. The impression is of a easily drinkable beer, light on the palate. Weaker than on might expect, though. Acceptable beer in almost any circumstances, but not extraordinary Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 2, 2005
(Bottle 75 cl) Very dark brown, almost close to black. Full body with notes of roasted malt and chocolate. Sweetish with a discreet, bitter palate.

Bottled (75cl) Dark brown with beige head. Massive pressure on the bottle. Cellar-like aromas. Light sweetness in flavor, with a quite gassy mouthfeel. Small bitterness in the finish. (051104) faroeviking (11119) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - FEB 3, 2007
Bottle. Dark brown color with a medium off-white head. Sweet, bit roasty malty and fruity aroma. Flavour of a good medium roasty maltiness, caramel, port-like notes, some raisins, bit yeasty. Roastish bit sweet finish. Tmoney99 (14866) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 24, 2007
Bottle from Bello Vino shared with freinds at the Dilly Deli. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted malty, toffee and small alcohol aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Medium balanced roasted flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations were met. oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 23, 2007
Bottled. Very dark amber colour, mediumsized brown head, leaves nice lacing. Aroma is malts, caramel and some burnt wood. Flavour is malts, caramel, wood and some cherry stones. Also slight nuttyness lurking in background. oberabcbbsok (692) - Hoboken, BELGIUM - NOV 4, 2007
A littel better then the blond one. Tasted on bottle. A medium bodied not to bad taste. A little to sweet
