COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bov (13221) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - NOV 30, 2001
very dark brown colour, few head, liquorice and caramel, oily, full, sweet and slightly sour, the aftertaste is long but a little bit disgusting while finishing the bottle

madsberg (11776) - Søborg, DENMARK - JUN 17, 2003
Bottled: Dark brown coloured. Quickly diminishing beige/light brown head. Aroma is vague malty and somewhat sweet. Has some caramel/chocolate notes, but they are hard to find. Flavour is very watery. Light sweet and malty. Some vague notes of chocolate. Is light bitter in the end.

Jeppe (2634) - Brooklyn, Alabama, USA - JAN 19, 2004
Dark brown/red body, tall white head. Nose is malt, nut and alcohol. Flavors are roasted malt and hay with a watery aftertaste. A quite weak beer.

lachesis (757) - St Idesbald, BELGIUM - AUG 24, 2004
Intens dark brown beer with beige colored head. It has sweet and burnd aroma’s with hints of chocolat, expresso and old colheita port. The taste is rather thin, again with touch of coffee and roasted malts, it ends with a light sweet and dry burnd bitterness.

larsniclas (7217) - Billdal, SWEDEN - MAR 27, 2005
Bottled. DArk brown with a large and airy head. Sourish aroma with cedar-tree. Rather thin body. Sourish flavour with some grassiness and oak-charatcter.

MilkmanDan (1942) - Eagan, Minnesota, USA - JUN 14, 2006
Deep brown. Nose cocoa, lightly sweet fruit, some raisin. Lightly bitter, sour chocolate. Too acidic. Bit sweet and muddy and overly thin.

Beerdedone (3452) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 14, 2006
Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours dark with a beige head. Aroma of citrus, fruit, and sweetness. Flavor is citrus, carbonated, yeast, bitter, just an ok beer, very dissapointing.

DruncanVeasey (8283) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 13, 2008
Ruby pour piled with beige. Lacy and rocky. Rusty tin aroma with brine-sodden maltloaf and grain. Slightly better than it sounds. Flavour blood, copper penny, whiskeyish grain and wholemeal. Thinner than the Blanche and annoyingly metallic. Tastes like a cheap supermarket tinned bitter.

solidfunk (9407) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - DEC 13, 2011
Taste of roast malt, a bit of alcohol. Nothing else. No real aftertaste or anything. I actually find it a bit better than the Chti blonde, though.

(750ml bottle) There are times when I wish my quest for new beers did not lead me to beers like this one. It is not a bad beer, but considering what else I could have gotten for my $13, I am quite disappointed. Medium tan head atop a clear, dark red-brown body. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, nutty, some raisin. Taste is moderately sweet, nutty, caramel, cola, dark fruit. Finish is nutty and light coffee. Watery light-medium body with low carbonation.
