COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JUN 1, 2005
This looks like weak coffee with a fizzy light brown head that soon reduces to a mere film. It has a mild malt nose that has a tartness to it. The body is quite light, near watery. The taste is somewhat sour, malty with plums. Not much to the finish, just a mild "dirty" maltiness.

obisbeer (568) - Barcelona, SPAIN - JAN 25, 2005
Deep mahogany with thick white head. Fruit nose with some sweet malt notes. Med weight with with an incredibly light finish. Toffee, adn light fruit on the palate but reall ynot very interesting.

Ungstrup (38414) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAY 21, 2003
A dark brown beer with a small fast disappearing head. The aroma is slight with notes of sweet malt and brewmash. The flavor is thin though sweet, prickling your tongue and has hints of black currant. It has next to no bitterness. A boring beer - try Ch'ti ambree instead.

2.3
fiulijn (21264) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 18, 2003
Dark amber color, big head. Light aroma of roasted malt and paper. Too simple taste, vegetable, very light roasted barley and caramel. Too simple palate.

omhper (25744) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAY 17, 2004
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2004 Bottled. Dark brown. Sweet and lightly roasty, fruity, raw and sugary. Some grassy bitterness in the end.

tiggmtl (4543) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 7, 2004
Toasty malt aroma. Dark borwn, almost opaque with very shy off-white head that recedes to thin cover. Sweet lightly malty, nutty. Thin body. Ultimately forgettable. Bottle (sampled at Mondial 2004).

Another gift from Silktork. I'll echo his sentiments on this brew. Way too watery, lacked the complexity of other Belgian brown ales. Sort of a vegetable and vanilla flavor that lingered. Just not a great beer ... with a strange nutrasweet aftertaste.

Blom (848) - Sorø, DENMARK - FEB 27, 2010
Brown with a low head. Aroma of nuts, caramel malts and yeast. The flavour is rather weak, sweet with some fruity notes.
