Bottle. Light brown head. Black body. Cocoa aroma. Flavor malty, sweet, choccolate/coffee. I am not able to distinguish if it is the carbon dioxide or the hops that makes it acceptable and not too sweet. harrisoni (19556) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 2, 2005
65cl bottle. Very dark ruby/dark brown with thin beige head. Not the world’s best aroma. Some liquorice, some good dark malts. Finish has a bit of tang of sorts. Ultimately it looks a hell of a lot better than it tastes. Which is a problem LoveCaissa (873) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 21, 2005
Very malty French Bière de Garde with some hints of Christmas-like spices. Somewhat sweet but nonetheless a quite decent beer - I like it. Emil (6064) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 7, 2005
Bottle. Brown colour with a baige head. Dark fruits aroma and a light sweet dark fruity, spicy taste. Medium body and a sweet finish. ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 3, 2005

Clear brown coloured with a beige head.
Sweet aroma of malts, spices and caramel.
Sweet flavour of malts, caramel and spices with notes of dried fruits. Dalle (1145) - Skørping, DENMARK - JAN 18, 2005
Bottle. Dark brown with nice beige head. Quite malty, chocolate, roasted bitter finish, medium bodied. Certainly drinkable, not outstanding. Ungstrup (38986) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 12, 2004
A red-brown beer with a fine beige head. The aroma is very sweet and very spicy with cinnamon being most dominant, but the aroma also contains notes of berries and is slightly acidic. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of berries, but also spices again with cinnamon standing out and again with hints of acidity. Even though it holds 7.5% ABV the mouthfeel is thin. Almost black colored, slight red tones. Little beige head. Aroma has some caramel and roasted chocolate, strong alcohol comes up too. Medium bodied, expected this to be fuller. Sweet caramel flavored with roasted tones, licorice and some spices, mild alcohol comes up in the end. Roasted flavor lasts. Crispy bite in the end with some dryness.
