Bottle. Beautiful copper color with huge steady head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity, some caramel, some spice. Taste is medium sweet, lightly spicy, but not balanced. Finish is sweet and short. OK.

Bue en bouteille de 65cl. Nez légèrement épicé, au palais, sucre candi, épices et alcool. Âpreté finale désagréable. Pas terrible.

erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - FEB 9, 2015
Golden body and small head. Ale fruity yeast yet clean, simple light spice. Drinkable, not bad. Subjectively not great, but I personally actually enjoyed it much, given for what it is. (Bottle from Auchan Saint Cyr sur Loire)

AbouAli (195) - SWITZERLAND - JAN 10, 2015

27/XI/14 - 65cl @ Gent Horeca Expo - BB: n/a (2014-1419)

Clear deep blond beer, small creamy off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, lots of orange peel, overripe fruits, spicy, bit sugary. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, bit sugary, cooked fruits and vegetables, spicy, cloves, some cinnamon. Aftertaste: bitter touch, spicy, bit sugary, some off-flavours, reminds me a lot of (US style) pumpkin ale. And that’s not really a good thing.

Appearance with golden color, filtered liquid and high head. caramel and floral hoppy aroma. sweet taste and, on the palate, a bit bitter.

650ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours clear amber with no head. Aroma is wet cardboard and weak malts. Taste is basically of nothing for a Belgian Strong Ale. Extremely forgettable. Fortunately I shared this between 6 so didn’t have to endure the whole thing. Tastes like a boring bitter. weak malts and not much else. Yes it’s inoffensive but that’s about it.

From 0,65l bottle, BBD: 24/10/15 Pours golden amber liquid, big frothy tan head, holds on for a long time, Aroma: malty, caramel, warming alcohol, red fruits, Taste: light to medium sweet, light bitter, light to medium sour, malty caramely, medium intensive metallic off taste, dull bitter ending, inharmonious and bit boring. Overall: drinkable, but boring.

jice (385) - Grenoble, FRANCE - DEC 18, 2014
Pour une fois, une bière de Noël qui n’a pas un goût chimique. Pas de trace d’arômes artificiels et autres dans la composition. Pas désagréable, belle étiquette, notes d’épices et de caramel
