After brewing and fermentation, Ch'Ti beers is kept for long weeks in storage tanks. In the calm and cool (0°C) environment, the beer matures, develops a finer taste, perfects its aroma and acquires its natural and characteristic sparkles. It is here also that the beer obtains its balance, finesse and gleam.

8.3% bottle. Head present but perhaps not counted. Faintly astringent, fruity nose. Sweetness to taste, intense stewed apricots. Kind of OK.

mike_77 (7373) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - JAN 4, 2018
Copper to orange colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have some heavy, syrupy malts. Yeasty aftertaste.

Piepenhenrich (1318) - Steinbach, GERMANY - DEC 16, 2017
Pours golden with white head. Taste is a blend of grain, some fruit and alcohol. Somewhat comparable to a Belgian Triple, however, it does not entirely match its Belgian peers.

tanel025 (283) - ESTONIA - DEC 3, 2017
Clear dark yellow beer with white head. Aroma is malt, caramel. Taste is caramel, malt, alcohol. Classical triple, though not as strong aroma and taste as one would expect. Still a good beer, easily drinkable.

Rubin77 (2876) - Brussels / Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - OCT 15, 2017
F: medium size, egg-white, not long lasting. C: deep gold, almost clear. A: grainy, bit fruity, bit grassy, bit caramel. T: malty, grainy, bit caramel, bit herbal, fruity, almost like strong pale lager, alcohol noticeable, medium body, low to medium carbonation, drinkable but not very enjoyable, 33cl bottle from Carrefour hypermarket in Hazebrouck, France.

I don’t really get the lower rating for this one. Compared to other Castelain’s Ch’ti beers, this one was perhaps the best of the lot, a bit more classic and aggressive than the others for some, but clearly a good drink. A pretty correct Biere de Grade all over, interesting abv and a nice taste in mouth. Alcohol is quite present but not overwhelming. A quite good drink. APPROVED BY TAVERNY’S BLACK METAL CREW!

Assez amère mais bonne, arrière goût très agréable de oublon fumée (miel?, fruitée?) qui reste en arrière bouche ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

GemmeDeReve (119) - FRANCE - MAY 16, 2017

Hopverdju (1718) - BELGIUM - MAY 12, 2017
Goudblond bier met witte schuimkraag die vlug weg is. Geur: Mout, brood, ietwat kruiden. Smaak: Moutzoetig, licht bitter, licht kruidig. Medium volmondig. Matige koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: gistkarakter, ietwat kruidig.
