750ml bottle- A yellow ornagish body with a decent white head. Aroma of yeast and grass. Taste of yeast, sourness, and some grass. Pretty decent tasting brew. bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 4, 2005
(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy maize body with a moderate egg-white head. Aroma of breadiness, grassy, and spices. Flavor of spicy yeast, doughiness, earthiness, and chardonnay grapes. BeerandBlues2 (13825) - Escondido, California, USA - JUL 8, 2005
Bottled 11/2001, 750 mL. Pours cloudy yellow with ornage hints and a huge frothy white head; lined, spotty lacing. Fragrant oak perfumey fruit hop aroma with a musty yeast nose. Spicy yeast and oak fruity hop flavor with a malty finish and some vanilla notes. Very lively carbonation with a light bodied spicy palate. Crosling (1864) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 16, 2005
Hazy tangerine. A minty & herbaceous scent is noticable first in the nose, followed by a hint of white peach, barnyard and honey. Slight sourness in the flavor (which was present in the aroma as well) along with that cloying and sticky mouthfeel that is present in a lot of French beers in this style. Hints of grass, hay and spoiled pear are present as well. Fizzy, yet creamy. Not bad and the aroma is particularly pleasing. elektrogeist (158) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JAN 20, 2005
This is essentially a not-so-good version of Castelain’s Blonde Bier de Garde.. I’m quite disappointed that my local liquor store dropped it for this stuff. Still worthy of a try though, its mild and unique musty flavor (smell the cork!) would probably pair well with certain foods, and is probably more fitting as a refreshment after a long day in the sun in summer. Worth a try, but not as mind blowing as the Bier de Garde

Beer #30 at Spiesy’s. Hazy gold colour. Yeasty aroma with a hint of apple. A little spicy and very soft. OK, but uninspiring. I’m afraid my taste buds were too blown away by this stage to pick up much more. Bottled.

Soft and easy going. Brady/doughy maltyness. Sweetish, slightly dusty texture, some rubber, not bad, was hoping for more with this Biere de Garde.
Bottled. Foggy blonde pilsner. Grassy, farmyard, rustic aromas that put spin on what you might consider a normal for a pilsner. Yeasty, zesty flavour, with astringent feel that lingers on the palate. Bottle @ Spiesy’s gaff. Slight grassy metallic aroma. Big head. Pale gold colour. Crisp body. Some grassy pilsner notes in flavour with malty back up. Decent pilsnerish ale. Nothing special. Bov (13264) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JAN 27, 2004
I had this at my 24th birthday (god, was this a long time ago ...) and it made me sick the whole day after. I can't believe most of you liked this beer ...
