Tap at Stouts. Pours a dark brown black color and seemed murky with a little tan film on top. Aroma was spice malt and hints of sweetness. Taste has some mild fruits and heavy roasted malt and a lingering spice finish. Palate was medium to full and chalky with a some what of a creamy feel too. On tap at Stouts Pub pours a dark brown/black with a medium reddish tan head. Aroma of cinnamon, chocolate, molasses. Thick texture but smooth, lots of raspberry through out, sweet chocolate, molasses, vanilla. A touch of cinnamon which complemented the raspberry nicely, with an underlying coffee bitterness. Draft at Stouts Pub. This is quite interesting and different. Thick black pour with a tab head, pretty sticky tan lacing. Nose is cinnamon, vanilla and some chocolate malt. Sticky, some raspberry notes throughout, lots of cinnamon, some vanilla. Kind of a bitter / artificial aftertaste, but really close to the ’coffee cake’ style goal. Dark brown with a hint of red. Aroma is raspberry, cinnamon, vanilla. Taste is raspberry, chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla. Not bad, but pretty sweet.
