Tap at Stout’s Pub. Pours hazy dark red amber with a soapy khaki head that lasts. Aroma has caramel mineral malt with some faint hops in the mix. Taste is sweet caramel roasted malt and some earthy bitter hops and more sugary sweetness spice in the finish. Palate is medium to full with a dry chalky finish. Tap at Stouts Pub. Murky amber pour with a foamy head. Mild aroma. Taste is earthy malts with a touch of light citrus. Not bad. BeerKurve (520) - - DEC 27, 2012
Dark Red with an Orange Head. Surprisingly Hoppy for an Amber Ale, along with Yeast, Orange Peel and Barley Notes. It’s simple but delicious. Body is heavy and the carbonation is mild, feels quite crispy on the palate. I would call this a hidden gem in Minnesota’s North Shore; I got this in a growler for a Christmas Present straight from the brewery, but I do know it is available in bars around the Two Harbors area.
