A lovely golden bitter. There were lots of bitter hops and an earthy farm yard flavour that nicely set the mouth on edge. It was a good colour and had a small, but long lasting head. A very English beer with the high bitterness and all the better for it.

Butelka 500ml. Klarowny ,zloty kolor. Piana biala ,obfita ,opada dosc dlugo. W aromacie ziemiste nuty z kwiatowa podbudowa i ciastkowymi elementami. Dosc dobrze wyczuwalna goryczka. W smaku umiarkowana goryczka, karmel ciastka i ziemiste nuty. W glebi cytrusowe nuty, ktore dodaja swiezosci.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Ocado. Pours clear honey-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds crackers and biscuits, some straw and lemon peel. Light sweet flavour with pleasant citrusy hop notes, some crunchy grains, dry pale bread, hints of melon. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean finish with mild grassy bitterness, more straw and lemon rind, pale biscuits. Enjoyable golde.

Bottle. Very Pale Straw in colour. Assertively Hoppy; grassy hops; aromatic. Citrus Fruity; lemon & grapefruit bitterness. Malty; some underlying sweetness, caramel. Hops dominate over sweet malt. Refreshing zesty finish. OK. Too much of a bitter hoppy bite for easy drinking. (2009-11)

Middel humlet, en god smag af tørt træ. Man bliver helt tør i munden af det her. God øl.

Erzengel (9616) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JAN 16, 2016
*Old rating from 2012. Nettes typisches Golden-Ale mit interessantem aber etwas neutral-bitterem Hopfen. Süffig mit typischen Ale-Aromen und moderater Süße. Nett.

500ml Bottle from Bargain Booze, New Mills.

Deep golden beer. Sweet, aroma of malt and straw. Taste sweet, malty and pleasant, slightly bland but that’s typical from the style. Blandness redeemed by some spicy hop character.
