No longer produced. I think gam (last post) is confusing this with XXXX Light Bitter, which has recently been renamed XXXX Light.
XXXX LITE lager was brought out in 1978 but was later replaced by XXXX Gold.
The ’stubby’ bottle illustrated above has been obsolete for many years.
Mild gold pour, carbon okay, head is always good on these products, the xxxxGold was gassy this one is the same.Aroma is hoppy normal with Castlemaine, taste mild to watery malt, hop bitter, not as good as reduced xxxxBitter, this is weak and finish is chalky dry sweet. I dislike this beer imensely, nobody should ever drink a lite beer. Because theres no point, you may aswell drink Shandy. Sully (1380) - Potts Point, New South Wales, AUSTRALIA - JAN 6, 2004
Wow! Like the lite Bitter, only the same! A reduced alcohol beer with no flavour!. Piss off CP. farmboy (218) - Barwon Heads, AUSTRALIA - OCT 6, 2003
Awful. Really bad. Really, really, really bad. Terrible. It sucks big time. What else can I say?

I think the ’lite’ refers to the weight of hops and malt put into this beer. Funny coloured water.
