Pours deep red with a foamy finger head. Aroma is grain malt with a touch of sweet citrus hop. Taste is malt forward with a chasing lemony hop bitterness. Interesting citra aftertaste. Almost tastes like two beers across the palate. Still, a bit thin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured up on tap, at the Carolina Beer Co at the Charlotte airport, where it exhibits a clear copper body that supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up malts, mineral notes, tangy bitter smelling hops and then a fading empty despair sensation. The taste delivers a bitter hoppiness, some near tart hop astringency and then a bite of mineral nuanced malts. This tastes like a mediocre 1990’s IPA but firmly sub par today. It leaves a bitter astringency behind that lingers into the after taste. Plus, airport pricing makes this an exceedingly low value.

Can, 238-16. From Bottle Revolution RDU. Okmaroma, sweet. Pine, citrus, on the grapefruit side, some caramel malt. Clean reddis h orange color ok head, faded quick, little to no lace. Sweet flavor. Medium body, smooth creamy mouthfeel, moderately bitter finish, it s ok, this one might be showing it’s age, tad oxidized.not rediculous, but ok.

Sampler from Catawba on the South Slope in Asheville. Light-ish red ipa. Sweet red malts, although not too caramel-ish. Somewhat fruity. Sweet. Nothing exceptional. 12.4

12 oz. can. Big nose of pine, toffee and grapefruit. Lightly foggy amber body supports a lasting half-inch of meringue foam on top. Tastes of pine, grapefruit, grape, mint, resin and toast. Near-medium body has smooth, low-medium carbonation and a good balance.

Pas hazy apricot nice white head. aroma features strong fruity, malty and yeast notes. These all come out on the malt, for a pleasing flavor. Mouthfeel has good fizz and body. Not so ridiculous!

draft sampler that poured and orangish amber color. decent aroma of malt and I thought I had citrus and pine coming from the hops. so when I tasted it I still got the same some citrus on the front end and pine on the back end. medium malt base. decent red ipa I would definitely drink this one again.

On tap at Catawba. Not getting much out of the aroma. Some floral notes. Some caramalts. Some caramalt, some strawberry, some sweet and bitter in the taste. It’s good. But it’s not crazy good.
